Anyone bash fish this part of the neches?....Looking to go out there on Saturday and just wanted to see if any of the local fisherman have any help....

You can bring the Wing-T, drum stick and the entire kitchen but the corn feds from Mid-County will be at it again.....Ned/PNG take top 2 spots this year....

I see your point with the Pony/LL thing being the issue, but does NOT call for a name change.....I can still to this day hear men discuss who was better National/American for certain span of years...Similar to the talks of PNG/NED football....Again my only concern was the name change...It takes away from the established roots of Groves....

The only move forward I see GAmerican making is that 4 yr olds can play. The opportunity to get a couple pitches in during your Shetland League years is nice, however combining that with GNational would be huge.....I'll just choose to disagree....

If Groves went to (1) LL it would go like this.... 1) Groves LL 2) Ned LL 3) BC/Orange

I agree with the combination of leagues, and do see the problem with LL/Pony for those in Groves. Eventually a few people need to get off their high horse and do whats best for the kids. I remember the real "opening day" of baseball in Groves and would love to see it again, however with the numbers decreasing and split, doubt that will happen.

I think the name change will lose support from those living in Groves over time. As much of a hot bed as Mid-County has always been through all youth sports, you take away the "grass roots" of some of the programs and the support will bail on you. Sad to hear they decided to do this.

I think it is funny that at this age (Shetland) coaches would wait to look at the bracket or name which team it is.....Put em in a hat, pull the names and you get what you get....If you play the best in the first game then beat em and move on, if not your done...

I am glad to hear they have someone willing to adjust with the talent level they will be able to recruit....I know everyone has base things they like, but hopefully we will see some decent recruits come through...I still believe putting together a coaching staff that can "recruit" will be tough but key to moving the program forward...

What is Woodard known for on the offense and defensive side?

What type of offense and defense has Navarro been know to have while Woodard was at the helm?...Anyone familiar with his style?

Maybe they should do like Oregon did years back in making the helmet/jersey a publicity stunt for more recruits....I guess they need to win a few games first before trying something like that....I have always been a big college football fan but can honestly say I paid no attention to Oregon before people started talking about their 3-4 different uniforms and its colors....Media good/bad is publicity!!!

I've known Inman a long time, and coaching in PLANO ISD is what I would call a "nightmare" when it comes to parents and politics....Look at his record over the years and where all of his players have ended up....I could say 80-90% are all college graduates....Tough place to coach...

Barry Switzer.....Thats the name I want to hear coming out of Tubbs mouth when it comes time for hiring....We need to get ESPN and all the major sports stations reporting on it...More publicity, the more kids and parents will hear about it....Who cares if the guy stays for only the first 2 seasons as long as he's got a young guy in the wings...Hmmm...Havent we seen it already....Do I need to hint.....R.....O.....C......K......

Same goes for 4 or 5 of the DISD schools...In that grades, attendance zones, and player accepting $$$ to play at certain schools....Even while coming from Middle Schools......Serves the administration right for turning the cheek for this long....Hope someone loses their job and teaching certificates....BOOM!
