  1. this is the main part of the article i was reading about a few days ago

"A storm surge of more than 15 foot would put extreme pressure on New Orleans' flood defenses. The city is still vulnerable to a surge from the east, as happened during Hurricane Katrina, and to a lesser extent from Lake Pontchartrain to the north," commented Dr. Christine Ziehmann, director of model management at RMS. "The levees have been strengthened since Katrina, but only about a quarter of the planned work on the city's flood defenses has been completed, which would provide protection against a hurricane that occurs on average once every one hundred years."

    evacuating early---great

fixing the levees---pure hot garbage of a job.

  2. New Orleans Residents Are Ordered to Flee Hurricane

By ADAM NOSSITER and SHAILA DEWAN

NEW ORLEANS — City officials ordered everyone to leave New Orleans beginning Sunday morning — the first mandatory evacuation since Hurricane Katrina flooded the city three years ago — as Hurricane Gustav grew into what the city’s mayor called “the storm of the century†on Saturday and moved toward the Louisiana coast.

stronger than Katrina. it could do more damage than her if it stalls out, not to mention if the levees dont work, in which i just read something that the mayor said---if the surge is more than 15-20 ft N.O. will be flooded again.
  3. "it is a forum meant to talk trash and have a little fun and comrodery among the guys not an english class."

I understand, I am just suggesting you spend as much energy and time on your studies as you do talking trash. When you get out in the real world if you type like that you wont get very far. I think some of you were the ones President Bush had in mind when he created the No Child Left Behind program.

its funny he created it, cause he needs it as well.
