  1. Let's see what happens in conference. They keep telling us about these great recruits, however great play is never transferred to the floor. Go back and look at the preseason hype and then look at the won/loss record, particularly the teams they manage to beat.

  9. believe me, Directv and all of it's sports packages is just great. I've been with Directv for 3 years and don't have to sweat it. There is no difference in its cost vs. cable.
  10. yes they will be, the offense return 8 starters. Only losing 2 OL and one WR. The defensive secondary will be much improved. All 3 linebackers are returning, a DT and a DB.

  15. Woods wins Target World Challenge by seven shots Reed Saxon / AP Tiger Woods and his caddie Steve Williams discuss the tee shot on the third hole Sunday during the final round of the Target World Challenge at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks. Woods shot a 68 to win by seven strokes. The golfer ties the Thousand Oaks tournament record with a total of 266. Sabbatini's withdrawal for 'personal reasons' adds to a frosty relationship with Woods. By Thomas Bonk, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer December 17, 2007 He won the first tournament he played and the last tournament he played, a bookend excess of success that we're conditioned to expect from Tiger Woods. His last round of the year Sunday...... [Hidden Content],0,7756554.story?coll=la-headlines-pe-sports

  18. Katy romps 66-21, off to state final The beginning wasn't pretty, the end got ugly, but the middle was just fine for Katy, which ran off 52 straight points to earn a spot in the state title game. Pflugerville awaits next Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Alamodome
  19. Converse Judson leads 14-0 at halftime Well, it's been a surprising first half here at Rice Stadium. Judson leads 14-0, and North Shore looks lost. The Mustangs have punted four times, and committed one turnover. The furthest they've gotten is the Judson 44-yard line. Judson's defense looks extremely sharp. The Rockets have applied consistent pressure on North Shore quarterback Jeremiah McGinty, and have stuffed the Mustangs' normally reliable running game. North Shore needs to wake up quickly. Its perfect season and shot at another 5A state championship is slipping away.
  20. Katy up 63-14 midway through the fourth Katy's second string just scored a touchdown when running back Luis Zavala ran in for five yards and a score. Everytime Katy has touched the ball in this half, the Tigers have scored. They have four offensive drives and four TDs. They also have the punt return for a TD. Katy is doing everything right in this half, and has a 63-14 lead with 8:30 to play in the game.
  21. Halftime: Katy 28, Madison 14 With 11 seconds left in the half, Bo Levi Mitchell threw a perfect pass to Joey Fuda for 54 yards and another touchdown before the break. Katy now leads 28-14 at halftime. This has been a great game so far. Early on, it was a defensive battle. Katy had three three-and-outs in the first half. I'm not sure they have had three in one game this whole season. Madison's speed was definitely a factor in stopping Aundre Dean and forcing Katy to throw. Katy's offense caused three turnovers (two fumbles and an INT) and kept the Tigers alive. Midway through the second quarter, Katy started looking like Katy again. They put together a great drive and got Dean running. Mitchell is doing a great job distributing the ball to different receivers. Madison has some adjustments to make at halftime and Katy needs to play just like it did in the last seven minutes of the half.
