I have confidence that they will. I just don't see a blowout next week. I checked Carthage record and they are picked to win district over Crockett, Rusk, Diboll and the others. They have played some solid teams and haven't been dominated yet. Should be a good game.

I can't agree with you Wildcat 08. Carthage will be a test for Newton. But if your prediction is right, kudos to Newton. When we played them we had alot of chances to really put them away, but made some mistakes that really made the game close. I'll say Newton in a nailbitter.

Naw, I think Newton better worry about them backs from Carthage before thinking ahead.

I don't know about a blowout because Carthage is a better team than Silsbee and Jasper. Newton will see lots of speed on offense and a huge defensive line. Carthage will come to Newton ready to play with around 50 to 60 players.

That is correct. I have a film when they played against Orangefield a won 35-13 in '89 i think it was '89. They beat Newton 21-7 that year.

Newton vs. Carthage

I would love to see Newton and Kirbyville battle it out for the district title in 2A.

Yellow jacket.....man nobody trying to hear that crap you talking. We watched Newton play last friday and they are ok, but nothing to be cocky about. We scrimmaged them boys a couple of weeks ago and their coaches were telling them where the ball was going on every play we ran. I assume they where doing this to keep from getting embarrass like last year. Its all good though. My boys get on here and laugh at the comments you make. We seen where you stated that Wos won't have no problem beating Kirbyville. Our heart is too big to let Wos come to Kirbyville and get a easy victory. You predicted a solid Carthage team to blow us out. That just to show your comments mean nothing to us. 8) 8)

You not the only one that hope that Jasper will win. Best believe Orangefield will have their work cut out for them when they play us :o. If you lived in Jasper county, you would know more about the Cats. Those aren't excuses, they are facts especially the injuries. As for Newton, they are always good no doubt. Kirbyville should be moving to 2A next year so we'll see. ;)
