The only coach in the area that makes mor than the Beaumont coaches is Nederland's coach. Here's an old link but BISD football pay is on par with a lot of the school's in the state. [Hidden Content]

WB has beaten Foreman every year he's been at Central. But to answer your question, I would like to see a coaching upgrade throughout BISD. The Beaumont schools are packed full of under achieving coaches. The start must come with the horrible AD that's picking these guys. AD Seveat needs to be gone. Then for what Beaumont is paying, get some good motivated coaches that make the wins match the talent.

Yeah keep dreaming! You might want to stick with beating up on Buna and Hardin Jefferson, West Brook actually hits back! Lol...

I never agree with this dude. But he is right! The Pony fans are delusional.

UIL reshuffling forces end of annual Beaumont Bowl

More like a nerf dart. Lol... -
That's your opinion! The only fact is that WOS shouldn't be on the same field as Foster. SMH... Yeah they ran y'all arse out of Houston so that makes them able to beat everyone in your mind. Lol... My opinion is the Bruins don't get rolled like your little team did. And its also my opinion the West Brook rolls the Ponies with the game being decided by halftime. You Fruit City guys have been beating on the Orangefields and Bridge Cities too long. Now y'all thinking your team is better than it really is. To whoever said WB only has 3 athletes, the Bruins have 15 seniors that are going to play college ball. Ignorance is bliss in this small school area. Lmbo...

This is ridiculously bias. You put Gaines against those teams WOS beat and he sets the world record for pick 6s. You have got to be kidding me. Smh... That setx small school bias strikes again.

Baseball is predicated on little league success. If you have a good little league system then you will have a good high school baseball team. You can't out athlete teams in baseball. The Beaumont little league baseball sucks which in turn makes the high school baseball teams suck.

Beaumont Ozen 51 Beaumont Central 48/Final
Yeoj replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball
If they play again, hopefully they use some competent refs that are not from Beaumont. Maybe it'll actually be basketball and not rugby on the court. Smh... -
Lambert went after Jeff Nelson cause he left her high and dry, not because of her love for Central. Nelson was in line to get the Central job but Lambert blocked it cause Nelson was her best math teacher at Central. After she blocked him, he left Central and went to teach math and coach on Stump's staff at West Brook. That's why she had it in for Nelson.

Flannigan has had 2 Freshman teams every year he's been the Bruins head coach. Hell he's had the numbers to have 5 total teams in his program. Varsity, JV a and b, and Freshman a and b. I will give him credit for that. The kids turn out to play for him. If he can find a good OC and the defensive staff keeps improving then the achievements will come.
-
Nah. Flannigan is very active with the middle schools and elementary schools. Plus if you go to a Bruin football practice, they're blasting all the music that kids listen to and the kids seem to enjoy being in his program.
-
Actually West Brook's football numbers went up after Stump left.
-
47% of the kids that Ozen send to college fail and drop out. 20% of West Brook's kids fail and drop out. Sorry, but those are the numbers. Its not equal or even close. But, you are right, and I agree that BISD as a whole needs to get better at educating our kids.
-
Look at the stats. The test scores are horrible at Ozen. Broussard sucked as the administrator and promoted all the wrong people. Coaches getting flicks stuck in school DVDs. Students that finish from Ozen coming back and saying they weren't prepared for college. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Dude take off the blue and yellow shades. Its not the media, Ozen was horribly mismanaged.
-
If you look at the numbers, BISD hasn't had an influx of kids that warranted a third high school. The numbers have always been the same. The Pear Orchard wanted a neighborhood high school back and Ozen was created. It wasn't opened out of necessity but more as an appeasement. Both West Brook and Central took a hit in enrollment when Ozen opened. Central took the brunt of it. People forget that Central dropped in classification and was once one of the smaller schools in that athletic district while Ozen was the biggest school in that athletic district. What changed was the quality of education and the mismanagement of the school by the adminstrators that were put in charge of it. That's the elephant in the room. Fact is parents aren't sending their kids to Ozen and it has nothing to do with sports.

I'm just trying to figure out why y'all take Wee-wee the miniature linebacker's basketball analysis serious. Its obvious ozensshortest is too small to see anything objectively. -

Yes I was wondering about the incoming freshmen. I keep hearing about how special of a group they are.
