1. The offense is a no huddle spread attack that uses pace to keep defenses off balanced. The defense is attacking and a welcomed change from the sit back and lose scheme previously employed. I believe this is going to be a much better coached team on both sides of the ball, regardless of wins and losses.
Weak Brooke bringing out the band, cheerleaders and drill team again?  ::)
I hope not.  If they do, I'll leave.  lol
If they dont they might have t-shirts made and fans storm the field if they out-score Lufkin in the scrimmage. Oooops, that's a Longview thing, Weak Brooke just brings out the 3 things in bold. My bad.  ::) ;)
Sounds like someone is mad cause the poor butt texas memorial crytan fans are as fickle as the team and only supports them once every 8 years when they win!
 3.
The Team looked pretty good at the start of practices but its a big difference when the Friday night lights are on you. I really like the atmosphere KRH has created. The kids believe in what they are doing and giving maximum effort. Success breeds success!!! Good Luck and Go Titans.
So he's no longer Xbox Kenny to you? Lol He's our secret weapon, the strong senior class hid his flaws. It will be business as usual this year. The Bruins are taking y'all down!
 4.
.....from putting the good foot into all three of your teams last year. and make sure its shined up and buffed by November 2nd, we'll collect it after the beatdown of Weak Brooke. Signed, Buddy Garrity P.S.-------> Engrave the name also with the year. Thanks in advance.  >:(
One win in the last 7 or 8 games and you talking noise? The Bruins will do what they always do to poor a$$ texas, beat them! The Crytans take their normal place behind West Brook.
 5. Poor Memorial, trying so hard to be accepted, but still the school at the bottom! *edit* *no cursing*

There is a school board that had its role in creating quite a bit of that as well. And I know that Dr. Thomas' tenure will be scarred by a number of controversies (Calvin Walker, transportation department issues, hotelgate, etc).  But as he retires, I don't know that you can say that the Beaumont ISD is in dire shape.  Academically, the district has reached the status as high as exemplary and in fact this past school did enough to do that but for the unacceptable status of a single middle school.  Financially, despite the numerous scandels in which BISD was apparently overcharged, BISD budgetary wise is still in a lot better shape than many of its neighboring school districts. And finally, in the area of athletics while some of the hoped for goals have not been reached, the athletic department is anything but a disaster.  The teams regularly reach the playoffs and in some cases have progressed far.  It has ushered in a new stadium that is in demand for use not only for BISD district games, but playoff games as well and, in fact, was a coin flip away from being host to a regional final game this past season.  Further, that stadium is used by a neighboring district as part of its season opening soccer tournament.  In a time where some districts have been the target of TEA receiverships, layoffs, unacceptable status and being unable to guide through bond issues to upgrade facilities, there are some of us that are quite envious of the state BISD is in now.
What a great post! And no one from Vidor has room to say anything about BISD with the shape their district is in.
Well there budget should be in even better shape now that they got rid of his salary  ;) And please tell me what kind of shape Vidor is in Yeoj.
Forced retirements, lay offs, unrenewed contracts, and TEA coming in to reorganize Vidor's budget so they could actually operate financially. Maybe VISD should have asked Dr. Thomas to donate his raise to their budget. Lmbo  :D  What is that saying about people who live in glass houses that throw stones?
How can you possibly believe that?  Doesn't Atascocita have 700+ more students than West Brook?
Atascocita is exactly as stocked up on talent as the Humble teams of the 90's and double 00's.  They are stacked with talent.    and Humble has a 9-2 record against Westbrook with that sort of talent.  Stump is on the winning end here.
Didn't you post on 5a Texas football that Stump was an average coach and he only out talented other teams? That whenever he faced teams with equal or more talent he loses? It was a few years back, but I remember HUM398 posting that during a Humble/West Brook matchup week.

 16. Where was all this up roar when Mallett was running the district in the ground? The white coach leaves and some how it's the black superintendent's fault. I wonder would Dr. Thomas' salary be brought up on every possible topic if he was a white man? I tend to think no! You have people from Vidor chiming in about BISD when their school district had layoffs, forced retirements, and unrenewed contracts. Go figure.

He won games off of talent, never his coaching ability. He got too much credit for wins and never enough credit for the loses. Atascocita will be looking for a new coach in three years when they fire Stump for losing.
I don't have a dog in this hunt, but you can't have it both ways. Either you give credit to the coach when they win and blame him when they lose or give the kids credit for the wins/losses. If the talent was so good (as u claim), then don't you think the team could overcome bad coaching? So does the Ciabalo Steele team who beat PAM by 20+ points have a good coach or is it pure talent? A TEAM can have all of the talent in the world (see Miami Heat), yet not win. It's not always the coaches fault, but many on this board LOVE to point the finger at the coach. I'm not just talking about this thread, but I see it all of the time (not just football coaches). It's kinda like the Monday morning QB! All of you who come on this board and talk negatively about coaches, I have a question for you: What is keeping you from applying for this opening to see what it takes to be a coach? Why did you not get into coaching in the first place if you think you could do a better job?
No talent can not always overcome bad coaching. I didn't get into coaching because it doesn't pay enough. Exxonmobil is paying me six figures to be an operator. And yes I believe I could do as well as he did, if not better.
Any job openings out there at ExxonMobile?  ;D These coaches dedicate a HUGE chunk of their lives to coaching. Their hours are comparable to a physician, but the pay is not near as much. They provide so much to a kid's life which follows them throughout their lives. Winning is important, no doubt, but the coach can't do it all. We should all appreciate the dedication they give to our kids. I have a lot of friends who are coaches, and they barely spend time with their families b/c of the 100s of hours they work every week. I'm sure Coach Stump could have done something else with his career and made more money like you and me. But he chose the coaching profession, and I respect him for that. It takes a special person to be a HS coach.
I agree with everything you say about coaches and their profession! But, Coach Stump is not the great coach you guys are trying to make him out to be! He's an underachiever as a coach. Other coaches have done a lot more with a lot less.

 22. Actually exxonmobil pays my salary! And whatever he's doing it must be working cause bisd hasn't laid off one teacher. We can't say the same for Vidor can we? People like you hate on Dr. Thomas and bisd all the time, but I'll take Bisd over Vidor everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.
 23. Congrats Titans!!! This Bruin is pulling for you guys...
