WO-S 26 Memorial 0 In 7 on 7 Tuesday
Yeoj replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
A friend of mine said that the Alexander kid, that was suppose to start at QB, got into a fight at school and broke his arm and is out for the season. He also said the backup wasn't very good and if Memorial doesn't find a QB, it's going to be a long season. -
Anyone getting new uniforms this year?

Ozen and Central got new ones last year, so hopefully this is our year to get new ones. -
Texas City 7 on 7 Pools/WB Advances To State In July!!

Pearland just beat West Brook in the finals. Friend of mine who is a Ozen fan told me West Brook should have won, but made some misstakes that kept giving Pearland extra plays on offense. -

Just got off the phone with someone who told me West Brook won all their pool games big. I hope they keep it up and win. -
Top Quarterback's In The Area This Year?
Yeoj replied to AJ25's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
C Louis has really bulked up this spring. He's now 6'-1" and 210 lbs. Yeah in the spring game I said the same thing. He does look a little quicker. -
This kid is all world! He covers like a blanket and hits like a truck. Some people say he's the best highschool Safety in the Country.
-
Actually West Brook only has to replace 5 starters. Also the only WR that went both ways was Garrett, but Soph to be Keontay Batiste will fill that Safety spot quite nicely. The defense looked great to me. The front seven is fast and physical. The only problem is the technique of the corners. Both Safeties are ball hawks this year and hopefully they will help out on the deep ball. Da Sho is the team to beat in our district, but they will be in for a battle when the Bruins come to town.
-
West Brook is going to shoot down Central's air force option attack. The Bruins will be all over the run again this season, to beat them you will have to be able to pass. With a WR playing QB, I don't know how effective the Jags passing game will be.
-
The offense is loaded. I went to the spring game Thursday and was really impressed with the passing game. Lopez is going to reek havoc in the open field. The defense is very fast up front and has a real physical strong safety that's going to be a sophomore this season. The cornerback position is going to be the Achilles heel once again this season. We have great athletes at the CB position, but it doesn't translate to the field. Hopefully they will get better during 7 on 7. Can't wait for August to get here.

I was told that West Brook moved their game to this Thursday evening.

You don't think the kids from Beaumont dream of playing for the Bruin, Panthers, or Jags? Or that the kids from Orange don't bleed Mustang silver and blue?
-
That's cause the people who work in the media are Mid-County alumni. I think its depends on where you from. I'm from Beaumont so I would believe that the Beaumont bowls are the best rivalries. Where as a person from Orange would believe WOS has the best rivalries.

Silsbee Soph. QB Jeremy Johnson invited to UT spring game

Is he the move in lefty from Lufkin? If so I have heard good things about this kid. -
If you put his fundamental coaching approach with La Marque's athleticism should make for a hell of a good football team. I don't think it would take to long for him to get his state title.

Yeah I'm hating on the fact that Ozen keeps losing to West Brook. I'm also hating on the fact that Ozen can only manage to win 4 games with all their D-I talent you talk about. I really hate on the fact that Ozen's football program sucks. I just have so much to hate on Ozen football that I don't know what I'm going to do! ;D ;D ;D

Corey Dickerson • 6-8 • 315 • OL • Livingston, Texas (Livingston HS) - thats pretty big - signed with SFA I said they had a couple guys that were big but not that good. At 6'8" 315lbs the best he could do was SFA. Doesnt sound like a world beater to me. One big player doesnt make the whole team big. "best he could do was SFA. Doesnt sound like a world beater to me" - you gotta be kidding Yeoj - how old are you? What does my age have to do with the fact that a kid that's NFL size can only muster up a scholarship to SFA? Seems to me that if was any good he would be at a bigger school with that size. Besides my point was that one big kid doesnt make the team big. People keep saying how big Livingston was. Well I was at their game against Vidor on their side and didnt see more than two big guys, one of which didnt even get to play until their was an injury. heck if they were so big why did they struggle against Vidor? Vidor was the last place team in the district. Where did you play? First of all, I'm not 6'8" 315 lbs. If I was I would go to a college that actually won a game last year. Next, as big as this kid is he only made honorable mention all district. Like my original point stated, Livingston had a couple of big guys that were not very good and two big guys doesn't equate into a big team. If Livingston was so big how come they couldn't get one touchdown in the playoff game against Dayton? You are a wanta be so get off the kids back and what do you care where he is going are you infatuated with him? Im a want to be what? LMAO I didn't even bring this dude up, the other guy did to prove that Livingston was this big and bad team that the 4A district should be worried about. You turned in to Captain Save a Chump and tried make it seem like I didn't know what I was talking about. Read my signature and apply it next time you try to reply to my post!

Top Runningback's in The Area This Year?

exactly you type whatever you want to type and i'll type what i want to type i never said stop posting anything about lumbertons players...........i think its jus the fact that they hate to see ppl from ozen suceed now if it would of been an LB from brook to get an offer they woulda of made it seem like its the greatest thing ever......so i will promote isadore as much as possible ok, cody had already achieved "greatness" if u will. everyone posted about him, not just lumberton people. no one even knew who this isadore guy was, until he started forcing him down our throats. everyone knew of hussey. there is a big difference. and none of us have anything against ozen and their players success. they always have a lot of scholarship players, how could we hate on that? ok so know you know him and will be knowing of him for along time to come the kid's gonna be special..... Not according to the coaches in your district! What was he second or third team all district?
