I cannot ever remember anytime where our SETX 4AAAA district has been swept, and don't look for it to happen anytime soon.

I think this could be a special post season for SETX. I have seen WB, WOS, and Newton play this year, and I think all three have a chance to bring home the gold. I also think that if Dayton can win this week will have chance to play a long ways. Good Luck to all area teams.

I wasn't trying to kick anybody when they were down, I was simply making a point. Dayton should not really be considered a state champion contender at this time. They really haven't had much success in the playoffs, or against playoff teams. I also don't know who you were refferring to that dayton was missing in the wos game. I think they just got beat. I do wish the bronco's the best of luck, but some are jumping the gun on the Purple State Rings for dayton.

My question is, who has dayton really beaten? Besides PNG, the only playoff teams they have played, they have lost to. They played 3AAA WOS the first game and had ALL their player healthy and lost. They played Lumberton, who is a 4AAAA playoff team and lost. They beat Nederland, who didn't make the playoffs, and PNG who did. They also lost to Friendswood, who didn't make the playoffs. So their record against playoff teams is (1-2), and they are expected to go (6-0) against all playoff teams here on out. I don't think this should even be a conversation yet. Has Dayton ever made it passed the third round?

Jasper has never lost to Clear Brook in Huntsville, and I am for certain. I am the SETXGURU.

Don't forget that Dayton has had a ton of injuries this season, and I think Coach Stewart and company have done a great job under the circumstances. The only team that has had more injury problems, from what I hear, is Baytown Lee. I believe both of these teams are in the playoffs. Kudos to Olin and Stewart.

Another problem that you would run into would be if you have a real tough district that plays a real weak district in the first round. Last year the WOS district was waaayyyy better than the spendora district. That would have put a team like Silsbee possibly playing at somebody elses home stadium. Not a good plan.

I talked to a person today that teaches in Dickinson, and she said that the team would not have to forfiet any games.

Why would the WOS ever be up tight for a district ball game?

J88, I don't know if you can call it a dynasty. Yall never made it to a statechampionship game. Yall never made it to a semifinal game. Yall never even won the region. What dynasty are you speaking of?

I'm going with PAM! They will vent there frustration on the rangers this week. I guess pa titty has finally left the building. He has had a rough month. First his boys from pa couldn't come through, then his boys at lamarque couldn't come through, and now he has lost his little touch football game to those boys from Orange. Fairweather Fan at best!!!!

I was not actually at this game, but I talked to several that were, and they said it got real ugly around the goalline. I saw WOS play early last year, and I definately thought that they were the best team in 3A. Good Luck in the playoffs this year stangs!!

I have not had a chance to see either team play this season, but good job by both teams still competing this late in the year.

The Reservation is by far the most historic stadium in SETX. It will be missed!!
