Port Arthur Lincoln had 7 Fumbles and thru 7 Ints that day. It was a HOT saturday and everybody was at the game. WOS probably only scored on Offense about half the time. The reason that this game was so lopsided was that PA kept throwing Ints that kept getting ran back for TD's.

No disrespect to Orangefield, but if WOS or Silsbee got to play Buna, East Chambers, and Liberty there totals would be wll over 400 yds.

This is just my observation but I think most years it is the team that catches fire late in the season going into the playoffs that goes the distance. For example, a few years ago there would probably be not one person who would have thought that the NY Giants would have won the Super Bowl. They gelled at the correct time and caught fire and went the distance. Now there are some teams who are just that good from day 1, but most of the time that is not the case. You also need a little luck along the way. That is just my opinion.

You actually are mistaken 19bulldog99. WOS has won the last three in a row after Ned won three in a row from the stangs. So that means it has been since 2003 since the dogs have beaten the stangs! I personally think it will be a closer score this year, however the last two games have been double digit win in favor of the stangs and they were both in Nederland.

Correct me if I am wrong, but just in the last nine seasons the Mustangs in 2000 got all the way to the State Title game (6th Round of Playoffs) in 4AAAA and made it to the State Semi-Final game in 2005 (5th Round of Playoffs) in 3AAA. I do understand that the last two seasons that the Mustangs have lost in the 3rd round of the Playoffs, but I don't really think that the Mustangs have had that impossible of a time in the third round this decade. They are (2-2) in 3rd round games just in the last nine seasons. Just the fact that they have been to four 3rd round games in the last nine seasons says alot, and in my opinion I believe some people are reading way too much in to the last two 3rd round losses. Just my opinion, but the GURU has spoken!!!

You Nederland fans should remember just as six of your victories have come as Neumann has been in charge, your last 3 game win streak the Mustangs were without Thompson! I believe the Stangs record with Thompson is 26-3!!! Good luck dogs!

I think in 2005 the mustangs had two backs that were pretty fast. The quarterback - Beasley and the running back - Thomas. Only one game away from a championship with those guys!!!

I agree. This year, Jeremy will have to have a great game offensively, running and throwing. Our defense will not be as good as last year's team but they will still be pretty good. I believe our offense will be much better this year. I don't look for this game to be a low scoring affair like last year. The winner of this game will score 3 or 4 td's. AAW, I think one of the big reasons that the game last year was low scoring for both teams was do to the layover from IKE. A spread offense is more of a timing offense, and to take three weeks off is like to start over. I to expect to see more points out of BOTH offenses this year.

No offense to the other three finalists, but it kinda sounds like they are making Huckaby into a no-brainer with the competition that he is up against. Phillips should DEFINATELY be on the list if the list is of the BEST four, and not just ONE they have in mind along with three that have no chance. Just my opinion, but the GURU has ruled on this decision and OHS is GUILTY of producing a stacked lineup!

I feel sorry for the kid at this point, because their no telling what is being put in his head at home.

I don't think that Texas is as good as some of the teams that they have beaten lately, but they just find ways to win games! Sometimes that is what makes teams great!
