Crosby KO the #3 RB for LH. Blake Simpson was the #1 back and #20 was the #2 back. I would agree if Blake got KO LH doesn’t stand a chance against Crosby that yr. I do believe the outcome is still the same against PNG. That defense was salty asl. They were able to get penetration and disrupt the timing.

Was that her role at NS head track coach?

All I know for sure is that she is from Crosby. And that’s she’s already hard at work implementing programs that we didn’t have. Still looking forward to Crosby having a great season. For whatever reason historically Crosby has done well when they’re not favored to win.

Every time I go out that way(About once a month) MB looks different. Growing really really fast.

High school football recruiting changed drastically after the portal and covid. There are college recruiters online that will tell you straight up they are looking for someone who fits the bill physically. 5’11 LB is going JUCO 5’8 RB/WR better be a 4.3. Everyone thinks that if you can play you can play no matter the size ,and that may be true, but when your job depends on it you’re probably going with a 6’3 transfer over a LB under 6’. Best bet is to get your kid to put as much on paper/film as possible. That means track, powerlifting, basketball and attending camps. In regards to Rio the kids he had to work with all fit the bill physically and in the classroom. Netherly, Williams , and Patterson all were all district academics. Nethery 6’2 WR 2nd place in state 400m. Patterson 5’11WR went to state in 200m. Williams 5’8 HB with a laser timed 4.35.

Rio had an open check book 😂 those days are probably over. At least fix the damn practice f and game field. From what I understand she plans to do that. Rio practices were high energy. Practiced on the game field with music playing. Probably why they had so many false starts. Lol

All I can/will say is it wasn’t politics. P might have been one of the few coaches in Crosby history that didn’t do politics.

I would’ve liked to see someone younger. He’s had tremendous success at CP but no where else. Someone 36-46 with enough piss and vinegar to get the kids up and buying in. Not a someone their pawpaw age.

Word on the Skreets is Joe Willis former coach at Cedar Park, Colleyville, and Tyler Legacy. A bit old for my taste but hope for the best.

Being big in the trenches definitely gon put some notches in the W column. Would not be surprised to see PNG back in the state game.

Makes sense. I hate spreading rumors but the word is there were a lot of applicants. I would agree that CHS given everything over the last 5-10 yrs doesn’t sound attractive. But to it didn’t sound attractive when we landed Coach P.

Lol who’s making these odds? Vegas? From what I here there were a ton of coaches that threw their hat in the ring. (Some from good programs at smaller schools) As long as they get good participation Crosby will be fine. I’m hoping for young(31-38) athletic and can relate to the kids . Make practices fun. Plus our Sup is going to have to give them some support. Not a lot to ask.

Riordan was the best we ever had at the time of his departure. Folks was saying that Crosby was dead then, not to mention the financial issues. Two yrs later when in the state title game

Shouldn’t be. For whatever reason CHS didn’t look like a 5AD1 team last yr. OL and DL were tiny. Not looking forward to them being bigger this coming yr either. However next yrs FR have shut out North Shore and CE Kings feeder schools as well as swept the district in BBall two yrs in a row. First time I’ve ever seen Crosby kids line up and be bigger physically than those schools mentioned. 5AD1 is a different animal. La Porte is building BH is building and PA has a steady influx of talent. Whomever takes over at CHS will need the support of the Sup and the Community to be successful.

It's not their size that matters it is the execution. PNG will need to be disciplined and get penetration to throw off their timing.
