Coach Hooks, if you were not a WOS fan, he was a coach you loved to hate (in a good way).  Enjoy your retirement, S/E Texas football will not be the same.

Longview playing Mesquite Horn in Shreveport's Indedpendence Stadium.  Have other playoff games been played out of state or is this the first one?  I know Shreveport is only a hour's drive from Longview and about 3-hours from Mesquite, but wasn't there any place they could play in Texas?  This is hard to figure.

Where can I find the date, time and site for each game?

I did not attend PNG, however over the years; I would have the opportunity to go to a few of their games.  Win or lose, one of the best parts of the game was hearing his voice booming over the PA system, "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez."...  I can still hear it echoing throughout the Astrodome

Many years age we played Anahuac and the right side of their line all weighed 225-250.  I was a 165 lb. linebacker and I don't remember having anyone over 200 lbs. on our team.  Nobody even thought about cancelling the game.  We actually looked forward to getting pounded every Friday.  That being said, we always thought we could win.  :P :P :P

The print in Dave Campbell's Magazine is so small in the HS section ( :P) I thought about buying a magnifying glass last year to help me read it.  I hope the Old Coach is larger.

In most cases, I'm for giving people a second chance, and the kid probably deserves the opportunity to prove himself as a young adult and person.  But does Lamar need to go down this road in it's efforts to restart the football program?  I hope it works out for him.
