  1. PNG's season starts after Baytown lee, they beat the teams they were suppose to. Hard to say how good they really are until they play the back end of their schedule. I could see them beating everybody besides PAM, then I could see them losing 2-3 and scratching for a place in the playoffs.
  2. I know reaching with this one but when PNG played Stephenville in the SC, Kendall Briles played both QB and safety also
  3. Agree, I guess I should have made more clear not technical going both ways but just play here and there
  4. So if you feel this way about Lejuene, then you must not like McZeal playing DE.
  5. I agree with the outcome of the game, I believe PAM will win, just was stating the difference in score would differ pending the different situations.
  6. First of all im not saying as an every down back but maybe 5-8 touches a game. Second the likes of Silsbee, Lumberton and Livingston are nothing compared to Nederland, Vidor, PAM where we might need a different punch. Its okay for some kids to play a little bit of both ways. If your playing to avoid injuries instead playing to win, then you wont make it to far. Take Nederland for example, when they needed big stops on defense they would put in their best players like, Krautz and Sage and they had some off their starting receivers play DB. Im really not trying to get in a pissing match with you , its just imo.
  7. Honestly I believe the Titans will win but how much depends on several situations. 1. Laday outcome, I know he was like 4th string at PAM, but he is the best option for Nederland and they are a different team with him (better team) 2.. Simmons injury. If he is health then they become more balanced keep the defense honest, takes some attention off of Perkins and Fischer 3. the last thing would be weather, a wet ball game might favor the dogs over the pass happy titans.
  8. And some kids on Defense could spill on offense, like Lejeune running the ball. 7-9th grade Logan was running bulldozer and could be a change of pace back.
  9. I understand the two platoon strategy but let's face it this is PNG and we don't have a bunch a D1 athlete running all around the place. You can't tell me some of those tall receivers wouldnt help us at DB.
  10. Heard the catch he made right before halftime was remarkable, also heard Livingston looks like a whole new team running that new offense instead of the slot t
  11. I hear ya, not trying to take anything away from Vidor just saying after all this they come back and say nah his good to play, it just seems like this a decision that's need to be decided soon before he has to sit any more games out. Tonight showed they could really use him
  12. Hey big win for your guys tonight, enjoy it!!!
  13. hey big bro, brother sounded like he had a hell of a game
  14. Every time I hear about this ref business and crying about getting cheated, all that comes to mind is that song, "Cry me a River." Everybody that's a fan has been on both sides of it. Its not fun but you have to learn to deal with and hope your team keeps fighting, just like Vidor did tonight. Its all part of the game and truly believe these Houston officials have no bias to any school down here.
  15. I think some people will take this score and be mistaken about how PNG handled Livingston. I still believe by switching to a more balanced and spread type offense they give themselves a better chance to compete. This game also showed the NDNS need to work more on their secondary. This might be one of the better reasons its nice to play the weaker teams first, it gives time to fix some issues before the harder games.
  16. I'm just curious where in that you got Vidor wouldn't have won, just trying to ruffle some feathers. Just saying he became the starter and took the starting position away from the other two guys. So what that tells me is that he plays the position better, then which also tells me makes the team better. So you take it however you want to spin it. Its going to be a pure shame if they come back and say he is eligible but had to miss a big game like this and at the end of the year it comes back to this game being the deciding factor. Vidor deserved the Win, that's not what this question is about
  17. WOW great game, Both teams should carry their heads high, nothing to be ashamed about, hell of a game. Gutsy call on Mathews part had faith in his team. Not taking anything from this win by Vidor, but this UIL decision on Leday and taking as long as it is, is doing nothing but hurting Nederland.
  18. I've always wonder why they ran that offense with some of the athletes' they have had in the past. I realize that was Randy Rowe's offense but you cant boxing in your athletes
  19. Sounds like Livingston switching out of the slot T might payoff for them. Letting their athletes run
  20. I'm at work and all I hear is blah blah blah, the refs are cheating us blah blah blah. C'mon man, refs and bad calls are part of the game you have to find a way to rise up and get past that. If you cant get past that then dogs will come back and take this game from Vidor and like somebody else said they are from the Houston area and don't give two craps about who the Nederland Bulldogs or Vidor Pirates are. Now if they are making bad calls then they just suck but not because they are bias to one of the teams.
  21. I think yalls Auxiliary stadium is bigger then theirs, they are 5A with a 2A - 3A stadium. Yalls band and drill team will take majority of the stands.
  22. As much as I want to think this will be a good game I just cant see it. PAM will have aliitle revenge attitude on there side and just playing better as a team. PAM - 42 OZEN - 14
  23. I think this is going to be a great game but I still think Nederland will win. Ozen and Central both have struggling defenses right now and with this offense, if your not discipline then you will be chasing RBs all game long. Ned does a great job game planning for their opponents and have a great DC in D.Spell. Like every Vidor/Ned game its going to be determined in the 4th qrt. NED - 31 VIDOR - 28
  24. 1. Nederland 2. West Orange-Stark 3. Deweyville 4. West Brook 5. Humble 6. Dayton 7. Lumberton 8. Port Neches-Groves 9. Beaumont Legacy Christian 10. Liberty 11. Tatum 12. Anahuac 13. Orangefield 14. Crockett 15. Newton 16. Evadale 17. Shelbyville 18. Sabine Pass 19. West Sabine 20. Orange Community Christian 21. Port Arthur Memorial 22. Buna 23. Kirbyville 24. Tarkington 25. Conroe
  25. No matter how you try so spill it, they play home and home. So next year it will be at Vidor. Then they will realign and it might be at Nederland or Vidor might get two in row. None of this 4-5 years straight business.
