Stephenville didn't bring many fans but they were loud, shaking those propane tanks.  I sat in the upper deck in the endzone, next to the divider that split the Dome.  That was the only seat I could find on the PNG side.  Sure hope some area team makes a run like that this year.

Nederland had 1 TO last week on a 50 yard Hail Mary with no time left in 1st half.  So it didn't affect the game.  I agree though, the team that turns it over less will win the game.

Ozen defense?  Hey at least Nederland isn't last in both categories anymore.

20+7+7+13+6= 53 total points allowed for the PNG defense.  That's what they have listed for the scores on here, not sure if they are correct.  Either way, its still impressive to be only allowing around 10 points a game in district.

Nederland's Defense isn't as bad as everyone has been saying.  The offense was holding them back earlier in the year with all of the turnovers.  Hopefully that's fixed now.  PNG only allowing 53 points in 5 games is pretty impressive.

Dionte hurt his knee against Waller in the 2nd game and didn't play for a few weeks.  His first full week of practice was for the Central game and he still didn't know the whole offense.  He did lead us to both of our scores in that game playing part time.  With another week of practice he had a very good game against Livingston.  Hopefully he keeps improving every week and leads the Dogs into the playoffs.

Nederland does a pretty good job of stopping the run up the middle.  Central killed us with their speed around the ends with 5 runs of over 50 yards.  I don't think Vidor can compare to Centrals speed, so its hard to compare the two teams.  It should be a good game.  Whoever wins the turnover battle should come out on top.

Stroud is currently #111 on the money list.  David Duval is #125 with about 100k less. Chris should be on track to keeping his tour card for next year.

Cruz was named special assistant to the GM, so he will stay with the team.

I think it should be a good series between two evenly matched teams.  I'm going for the Phils in 7.

Predictions? 

Livingston's field wasn't in that bad of shape last Friday.  Definately not as bad as when ya'll played at Nederland a few weeks ago.  the Jags should be fine.

Stroud finished tied for 8th. He shot E today to finish at -13.  Should be a good payday to secure his card for next year.

If Nederland wins out they will have the tie breaker over Vidor, no matter what Ozen does.  If 3 teams end up tied no telling who goes, but it look like Nederland controls their own destiny.

I have a question about the Nederland-Ozen game.  The final score you have is 16-10.  When Ozen scored in OT to end the game they kicked the PAT anyway to make it 17-10.  I know in college and pros the PAT isn't attempted because the outcome is already decided.  Just wondering what the high school rule is, and what the actual final score was?  With point differencial being the tie breaker, this could make a difference.  The way 20-4a is this year every point matters.

One thing that may help Nederland, is that Livingston runs a similar offense to Vidor.  The Nederland defense started to figure things out in the 2nd half.  Neumann should have them ready to go against Vidor.

He was the Qb in middle school and as a freshman.  Started playing varsity as a sophomore at DE.  As for which one he likes better, I think he would rather be posting someone up than both.  Kids a heck of a basketball player.

There were some open seats, not a whole lot.  I didn't expect a lot of people to make the trip with the way the season has been going.  Next Friday at Home against Vidor, we should have a Huge crowd with our playoff lives on the line.

Dionte 18-29  for 280 yards and 3 TD's.  Brady 6 catches for 150 yards 1 TD & 86 yard KO return for TD.  Big games from the guys.
