I coached the white team in the first 2 games. The kids seemed to have a great time and enjoyed getting to play on a college field. This is a great showcase for local talent and its for a good cause. The MAJOR disadvantage for Mauer is that he is a catcher. Catching 140-150 games in 185 days takes a toll on your body. In his career Mauer hits about 30 points lower in the 2nd half of the year. It will be fun to watch to see if he can hang on.

Beer and women don't make you hit better. I've tried, it doesn't work.

Carolina beat S. Miss 11-4. NC had 23 hits in the game. Ackley was 5-6, guess that's why he was drafted 2nd overall. Carolina is going to be a tough out for whatever teams they have to play next.

If Tiger hits fairways like he did at the Memorial, he could win by 5+ strokes.
