Since we don't have out of conference games to gauge relative strength between conferences, we might look at the relative talent on the opponents teams. A&M played 9 games, with 8 (89%) of them coming against teams in the top 25 of composite team talent this year. We went 7-1 against top 25 teams based on recruited talent. Notre Dame played 11 games, with only 4 of them coming against teams in the top 25 of composite team talent (counting Clemson twice). They went 3-1. Despite playing two more games than A&M, ND played half as many teams with top 25 recruited talent on the roster. Ohio State played just 6 games, and only 2 came against teams in the top 25 of composite team talent. They went 2-0. A&M played more teams with top 25 talent than OSU even played this season.

Ags did beat 6 bowl teams. Would have been 7 if LSU didn’t opt out. 😀

Coastal beat BYU and then UL(who they ducked in the rematch). What do you think any of these 3 teams records would be if they played an all SEC schedule? How many teams in the country would be undefeated playing Ohio State’s schedule?

I already have plane tickets to Miami. Not sure if I’m going to the orange bowl or not yet. I didn’t think we were getting in. I knew that they would follow the money and pick OSU & ND. If Texas had our resume, they would be in no doubt. The ncaa is a beauty pageant and the blue bloods will get the benefit of the doubt every time.
