100% chance of rain. Maybe those fancy uni's are waterproof.

I would bet there were still more Texas fans in attendance than TCU. TCU and Baylor aren't exactly know for having great fan bases.

Tied for 4th in the West with wins over both teams they are tied with but whatever.

These moderators were brutal. I wonder if they will catch as much flag as Megyn Kelly did after the 1st debate. [Hidden Content]

No respect Buddy! @WinklerKEYE: Texas Def. Coord. Vance Beford on #Longhorns game at Iowa St: "It's Homecoming AND Halloween. They're trying to tell us we're a patsy."

You do realize that none of the top big 12 teams have played each other yet right? November should be a fun month for the conference.
-
The coaches and their agents know how to play the game. Saban's wife went vacationing on Lake Travis and he got a $2 million raise. With all of these big time jobs open, look for a lot of coaches to take advantage and get paid.
-
Sumlin would have to fire someone first. NCAA dictates the number of coaches. The richer schools would have a coach for every player if they could.
-
Frank Beamer basically hinted around yesterday that this would be his last year at Virginia Tech. There are some pretty big time jobs open for all of these young up and coming coaches

Royals walk it off 5-4 in the 14th. Only took 5 hours and 9 minutes.

OU has been playing well the last 2 weeks. Baylor's QB broke his neck and they are starting a true freshman. TCU doesn't have a championship defense. I predict mass chaos in the Big 12 over the next month

Interesting thought I just heard on the radio that I've never thought of. The Big 12-2 gets knocked by the playoff committee for not having a Conference Championship game like the other conferences. If they don't want to add 2 teams because it doesn't make financial sense, then how about the league champ playing the top Independent team each year on championship weekend. Playing a 13th game against Notre Dame or BYU would only benefit both and make them both a ton of money. The NCAA would have to approve it, but it makes for interesting discussion. Thoughts?

Martell is 2017 so there is a long way until signing day. He is supposedly tight with Spav, but is really high on A&M all together. The new USC coach will have a lot to say whether he ever ends up in College Station.

From Sumlin's presser today -open 3 man competition for QB. Starter announced to team Friday -Spav still calling plays -danced around Kyler being suspended, but basically confirmed it -no mention of Allen's injury

Athletes and famous people get more clicks. If it was just a random crazy guy it would have been mentioned on the nightly news a few times, then never talked about again. -
Allen seems to be playing hurt since the end of the Miss St game. He just has no zip on his passes and can't hit the broad side of a barn, so at least I hope he has a good reason. Murray's complaint was they only put him in when the offense is struggling and don't give him a chance to succeed. He's probably right. Spav is terrible at calling plays based on the personnel on the field. Kyler is a zone read guy that needs to be in space to be successful. Norvell has done a great job with Heard playing to his strengths. I don't think Spav knows what that means. Sumlin never announces injuries or suspensions to "protect" his players. In this case it would have probably been better to leak out the Murray suspension, so the TV cameras didn't zoom in on Kyler after each of the 22 straight incompletions Allen threw. If Spav isn't going to get fired or adjust to his personnel before Saturday, I would say start Hubenak. He is currently the best option to run whatever offense that is we've been trying to run.

I could have posted it in the pro thread, but no one would have seen it. He seems like a good guy that is a good ambassador to the university. The current ambassadors seem to be Kevin Durant and Jordan Speith, who might have spent a year on campus combined.
