JR CB dislocated elbow a few weeks ago at a 7 on 7 game. Heard it looked ugly. But it popped back in and no ligament damage. He's ok and will be 100% for season. As far as I know the Coogs are close to 100% healthy right now.

Nah. If y'all thump us in the scrimmage I can just fall back on "it wasn't a real game" excuse. I'm good ending the yearly get-togethers on a bit of a win streak.

I don't watch much HS football besides Crosby so I couldn't say they're the best of the best. I don't know the other kids listed here and I'm sure they're very good. I've seen these two kids a lot and they're special. Mannie is in ESPN 300 with lots of BIG time offers. At 6'2" 185, 4.45 speed (state runner up in 400m) he's a threat to go the distance every snap He'll play WR at the next level as he has the last 2 years but will be our QB in 2016 Craig will be a junior with TOP end speed. Would have had a shot at state championship 100m dash but jumped the gun at district. Finished 6th in 200m. I don't remember the exact ranking but he's ranked one of the top players / backs in the country in his class. So I don't know if they're the best listed here but I'm sure happy they're in our backfield.

I've got to throw Mannie Netherly and Craig Williams in the mix.

Man. We have a train horn too but I understand why everyone hates on the L-Train. That Son-of-a-Gun is Loud and even when we had a huge lead against you guys in New Caney last year that dang horn just kept on coming. We honk our horn when we do something good. I think y'alls horn is operated by a foreign exchange student from Iceland with ADHD that's never seen a football game before. Put me down in the anti-L-Train column!!! (Honestly love the spirit. I see it being: 1) Crosby 2-3) Dayton / KPark 4) Humble or New Caney or BH I always think Humble is about to have a breakout year and they never do. Was 2015 NC the start of a program or a one time gathering of talented kids. Barbers Hill would be a playoff sleeper to me. Perhaps the new coach can work magic but I'm afraid we might see why that Gage offense was good for the Hill. Shorten the game, keep it close, run something ppl aren't used to stopping. I think Westerberg is an amazing coach. He'll get the most out of his kids. I just need to see something from them that makes me think they can compete with 21-5A. I'm not saying they can't. I've just seen nothing to this point that gives me confidence that they will be in the top 4. Although I do have Crosby as the solid 1 seed, there are question marks in Code Red too. I have them as the solid favorite but a 2nd or 3rd place finish is possible if new starters don't come through Good luck to all. Gotcha. I'll try not to bad mouth anyone. I do think Crosby is the team to beat again next year and think a team or two ppl are high on will disappoint. I'll try to be honest about that without bad mouthing anyone. I would say I think Crosby gets bad mouthed in equal amounts so...

We won't go 3-7. No worries. Again I'd say 9-1 is likely. 10-0 possible on the top end. 6-4 at worst if wheels fell off. Don't see the wheels falling off, but then again I know I wear rose colored glasses & am a homer.

I'm trying to learn my way around this message board. Here's what I think I've learned so far: 1) anyone supporting a team other than yours is an idiot. 2) anyone that is supportive or optimistic about their team is simply a homer. 3) If my team used to be dominant but no longer is, refer to historical statistics. 4) if my team has been historical brides maid but is now top dawg, ignore history. 5) don't recognize that all these kids and programs are working hard and are mostly made up of great kids and coaches. 6) don't publicize your hopes of being a state contender bc if you fall short all the area trolls will ridicule you for underperforming 7) take pride in none of your kids getting D1 offers bc you can then claim that your team is gritty and over performing 8) when you want to justify your losing record bc you don't have any black kids, don't say you need black kids, say you need athletes Just interesting. looking forward to learning more about how this all works Much respect to all the experts
