I agree with you about the playoffs, but this year they wouldn't have had a competitive game in 22-5A either expect maybe PAM, and I even think they blow PNG out too after what they did to Nederland this year. They would easily run through the rest of our district

As excited as I am to watch wos win two championships in a row, it's also a sad reminder that another football season has come and gone just like that.

At least you can say y'all lost to the potential state champion. By a small 4 point margin. Probably makes the loss sting a little more though!

A perfect example of this is Silsbee.. they barely lost to Carthage by only 4 points. With a 1st round exit several people on here, even more in the community, were ready to sacrifice coach smith. But now Carthage will be playing next week for the championship! Playoffs are about matchups, if Silsbee would have avoided Carthage in the first round they could have made a deep run..

Knowing most of the wos fans on this site, I'm sure you will all say that this will be a tough game and y'all can't overlook them. That's called humility, and I respect that. While I partly agree, the other part of me says there is no way wos loses this game! They are just that good!!

So we can either choose to claim Houston area schools and say that SETX is successful (the easy way out), or we can continue to think in our own minds that the Golden Triangle is SETX, accept that we haven't had success, and then discuss it on this site.

Agree 100%.. don't see how anybody could think that Vidor could match up with Crosby talent wise.

It would be interesting to see Hurts stats from his sophomore year.

If a team gets beat in the first or second round by a team that either makes a deep run or wins it all, then that's not so bad. But PNG made it to the 3rd round and got beat by a really good team.

You can't always judge a team by what round they lost in in the playoffs.. It all depends on who you meet and when. PNG lost to a team that's still playing next week, which doesn't make their loss look as bad.

No credible website would say that because it wouldn't happen.. if a site like cal preps or maxpreps says that wos would win then obviously they have a reason to assume that. So no it's not the same scenario.. Now Alabama beating the browns, that's may be possible lol

WOS manhandled 3 4AD1 teams. Those same 3 teams went on in Bi-District against those high and mighty east Texas teams and one won, the other barely lost, and LCM was blown out... Needless to say, I'm pretty sure wos could hang with them! Lol

If he was at Vidor and had brought it to the attention of the administration then something probably would have gotten done, therefore he would not be going through any of this.

I agree, he must love the community to stay for this long.
