I wouldn't be so quick to judge Matthews based off his record, let's remember that he is in Vidor after all (kinda like Lumberton). I don't think any other coach in this area could come in and do much better than he has with the talent that that city produces.

It's not ok. But the thief is still at fault regardless of whether it was locked or not.

So if I leave my house unlocked and someone walks in and steals something it's on me? I get your logic of they should have just locked their stuff up, but at the same time it doesn't matter if it's locked or not locked or not a lock anywhere in site, if someone steals something they are the ones at fault. Period.

He wasn't recording half naked teenagers. He was recording a thief, and caught one. That's the difference. And don't act like there aren't already different parameters. I played football, and were the coaches told to leave whenever players were getting undressed and showering? The answer is no! Were male coaches allowed in locker rooms when girls were changing? Well of course not because that's wrong. There is a difference. So yes, in this situation there could be different parameters. A male coach putting up videos cameras in a female locker room for any reason is not necessary. A female coach doing that (with the intent of catching a thief) in my mind is the same as a man putting cameras in a male locker room (with the intent of catching a thief). My question to you, if you really think he was "recording half naked teenagers", then why would he be allowed to walk in the same locker room with those kids. If that's the case then he needs to be fired immediately... But I, and hopefully you, don't think that's the case.

Of course I would think differently if he put cameras in a girls locker room, your right. But if a female coach we to put cameras in a girls locker room for the same reason, that would be different.

Not my logic. I've said nothing on this subject except that I think BISD is trying to do the right thing, and it's a tough decision to make right before a huge game. However, to play the victim mentality anytime anyone says anything about BISD, but then turn around and do the same thing whenever an opportunity arises..... it's the old "two wrongs don't make a right" kinda thing. Everyone has their opinion, that's mine

Double standards: jumping all over Nederland whenever you get the chance, then getting upset whenever someone says anything about BISD. Thats what's wrong with this world!

Seems like BISD is trying to do the right thing here, that's a tough decision to make before a big game like this!

I expected better myself. We lost a lot of close games, for what it's worth. Record still reflects a loss though.

That freshmen running back doesn't look too bad either.

I've seen several instances of coaches kids being on the sidelines... doesn't bother me a bit.

Babin is the best thing that's happened to us since Coach Credeur, and honestly imo the best thing that could have happened. And that statement is coming from first hand experience of his coaching style, his attitude, and his passion for the kids and the game. People who complain either don't know coach Babin, or little johnny got ran too hard and now their feelings are hurt....
