Judging off scrimmages.. You should know better than that... Oh and we faced those same two weak 4A teams last year in scrimmages, and imo we look better than last year at this point. More balanced offense. And defense is one year better with majority returning starters. so if we are basing our season off of two scrimmages, I like our chances. Last year I was worried after beating Hampshire Fannet by one point, and we ended up with a playoff spot. So don't judge too quickly. And I wouldn't be so sure of porter beating us tonight too.

You should probably go back and do some more research if you think they will beat Lumberton. And please don't go off of game film from a scrimmage against HJ and evaluate us off of that. Everyone knows you don't prepare much for a scrimmage, but when we play slot teams we prepare for them all week and are more than ready, just ask Vidor... Teams like those worry me a lot less than teams that can throw.

That 200 yard rushing game against PNG could very well happen this week.

I agree with you about Lumberton, we've been anything but consistent. Hopefully that can change in these coming years.

With that new run first offense, I believe they may be able to do that.

Will Vidor be any better on defense?? Hoping they can pull this off, but run defense has to be a lot better than last year!

And I'm pretty sure Adonis and Calvin both will be looking to put a hurting on whoever comes at them as well. And good luck stopping Barnes in open space..

I get what your trying to say, but please don't judge all "white posters" based off of a few. I don't have anything to say about atmosphere, I think most schools around here have good atmosphere on Friday night lights. As far as discipline goes, I myself have said that Lumberton is a very disciplined team. Not because we are white, but just because I played for the coaches and know they preached it every day. On the other hand, I wouldn't label another towns team as being undisciplined. I see players all the time running their mouths after the play and acting "undisciplined" as some would call it, I see it from all teams, and all colors.

Tigers will win this one. Hopefully offensive line will show up and block someone.. I just think they have too much talent to not win.

I think the root of the problem is everybody wants to make the big play and be the star.. Not realizing that it takes a whole team effort and everyone doing their job. One person out of place can possibly make or break a play

"Discipline" when talking about football is more than just well behaved players. That is part of it though. Being able to keep your mouth shut when the other team is pushing and shoving. Allowing them to get the penalty and not you. But it's much more than that imo. A well disciplined team will show more on the defensive side. Making the right reads. Staying at home and playing the cutback lane when your supposed to instead of running upfield. Knowing who your responsible for whether it be the rb or qb, not allowing all the play fakes to dictate where you go (that's how you defend the slot t). It's all about the fundamentals and sticking to it. Discilpine alone won't win you a district championship, but it will certainly help.
