No Silsbee looked much better.. Passing game looked good, blocking much improved. And defense was always in the right place at the right time. Ozen looked horrible, not taking away from Silsbee at all, just saying they didn't block or throw too well.

I can see why Newton is over Silsbee at this point.. Too many question marks in Silsbee at this time. That can change very quickly and I think it will, but for now I agree with the rankings... On a side note, hopefully Lumberton can work our way up there somehow lol

Exactly!! That's what they are taught to do. It's football, yes it's "just a scrimmage", but it's still football. Expect to get hit, expect to get cut, and deal with it... or avoid it.

I've heard rumors that that certain player won't be playing offense.. Not sure how true that is.

HJ looks big on both sides of the ball.. Very physical and hard hitting team. They look to be pretty good this year.

Was Jones better than Boyd (Ozen)? I haven't seen jones enough to know, I'm sure his stats were better, but you gotta remember the competition difference and the fact that Boyd had Tyler who was the leading rusher in our district.

We should beat ozen as we did last year by a lot with Calvin Tyler, and we'll do the same to Vidor. They returned a lot of starters on offense, but so did we on defense.. The only ones to shut down their run game.

Who's to say we won't get that 3rd or 4th place spot??

Silsbee has size on their line too. One positive thing I saw from y'all today is as the scrimmage went on your offense got a little better. Hopefully that trend continues throughout the season.. With all the hype around all your talent (and the fact that my wife grew up in Silsbee so I have in laws there), I was really hoping to be watching Silsbee play in December.
