Two things for the year that jump out at me in Silsbee’ favor: They have won the turnover battle each game. That young secondary has created a lot of interceptions. Through 3 games Brisbane only has 1 interception. That one came last night on what looked like a miscommunication between him and the receiver. Silsbee is gonna be alright. I think it’s funny how since Coach Smith has arrived it’s gone like this every year. Silsbee schedules tough non district opponents and drops a couple games. Fans freak out. Then they put together a pretty good playoff run almost every year… Amnesia??

I completely agree, definitely a team effort. Miller still had like 44 yards though.

I’m at a parade this morning and will post some stats for the game and season after. As far as PG containing Miller, Silsbee actually didn’t target him much. Didn’t really need to when you’ve got a running back with almost 300 yards. PG had no answer for Dodd last night.

I’ll work on getting all the stats posted, but you’re right about these 3 for Silsbee. Brisbane had 313 yards passing with 3 tds, also a rushing td. Dodd had 186 yards rushing, definitely a huge turnaround there from the first game. That’s the kind of rushing game we’ve come to expect under coach Smith. And Miller had a beast of a game!! 228 receiving yards with 3 tds, and add a interception on defense. The young sophomore keeps showing out two games in a row.

34 points… defense had a scoop and score, and kickoff returned for td… but yeah, 34 points in 11 minutes is pretty good!

Very young going against a team that runs the slot t very well. They will get better, but that game against Pleasant Grove scares me now. oh and they were on the field for like 36 minutes, that definitely doesn’t help

Gotta play defense, but more importantly gotta get Dodd going in the run game to sustain drives.

Whole lot of rushing yards for vidor. Only one completed pass all night for them, I do know that 😂 and zero pass attempts in 2nd half
