I think it’s because of the two schools that were merging. Central was a 3rd or 4th place team at best in the old 22-5A for the past couple years. And ozen was irrelevant. Adding those two and moving them to 6A spelled disaster for the first year for sure. When/if they get a good coaching staff they will be better.

Imo Silsbee has some key returners coming back. And they never have a lack of talent so they will fill the holes. I don’t see offense missing a beat to begin the year. Defense will struggle early as they break the new guys in, but by district they should be rolling.

They clearly were missing Brown in the passing game. Canadian stacked the line and Newton couldn’t complete any passes. With Brown this game would not have been close. Also, don’t forget that he’s a very good pass defender as well.

Offensively Silsbee will bring a lot back except maybe their line. Defensively they will lose a lot.

Wos will keep the regular season win streak alive against Silsbee, and Silsbee will continue their consecutive wins against wos in playoffs lol

I’m not a cowboy fan at all, but if i had my pick it would be AT&T every year. Even as a fan I would rather drive to Dallas. Of course if it was in houston I probably could have made it to a couple games this year, but it still doesn’t compare. And I’ve been to state championship games in both.

Oh ok I gotcha. Yeah carthage really surprised me this year.

I don’t think either has come to an end, carthage was a few plays away from going back, and wos was a little bit more offense away from having a chance. I know it’s state or bust for wos fans, but it’s definitely not the end of the world. Wos or Silsbee will continue to represent in the semifinals for the next few years.

I’m too young to know a lot about Texas football history, but I will say that this North Shore team looked like the Houston Texans today lol those were some huge offensive linemen out there!!
