I haven’t really looked into stats much this year, where are you finding those at? Also, we have all but shut down our offense in the second half the last two games. Against Livingston we scored 34 points in the first half then only 14 pints in the second. And against Bridge City we were up 34-0 at half and the final score was 34-0. I imagine if we would have kept our foot on the throttle in both of those games then we would be leading the district in rushing easily. Another thing to keep in mind, this is all without our starting rb who should be back fully healthy this week! With all that said, this should be a quick ground and pound game from both sides!

Exactly, and I think wos has a better chance in their classification come playoff time than Lumberton or Splendora. That’s why i think they should be ranked higher. Just my opinion of course

You got a point, but who below them should be ranked above them? They already beat Silsbee. I don’t think Liberty stands a chance against them. Lumberton was beat by Silsbee so that wouldn’t make sense to put us above them.. I think they are there by default.

I never claimed that Lumberton would roll through this district easily. I’m a realist, but I will say this about Livingston- to drop down from 5A and play this bad is pathetic! Bridge City is having a down year and i would still pick BC to win this game. Sad! When you drop down you gotta at least compete. Come on man!

That’s true. Especially at RB, I don’t think I’ve seen one running back run the ball more than two times in a row all year.

Liberty (a 99% run team) scored 35 on Splendora. Liberty only scored 7 on Silsbee, 12 on Huffman, and 7 on Cleveland. So is splendora’s run defense really as good as what everyone is saying??

24 in the first half, 7 in the second when we finally woke up. That’s on us so no excuses. But we may have made Huffman look a little better than they were and us a lot worse than what we are which makes us the underdogs now. Fine with me.

Covering one fast player is better than a team full of them, that’s what I meant by the comment. Not underestimating them either, but i think our defense is better than Huffman who held them to 20 points.

I would like to see Silsbee get ahead early like we all know they can so some of the starters can get some rest and backups gets some reps in. Then two weeks to prepare for round one.

Yeah and our secondary has improved since playing Silsbee with getting our SS back from injury. And I don’t see splendora having the overall speed that Silsbee has to expose our pass defense anyway.

This will be a defensive win for us. Not sure how much we will score if their d line is as good as what people say, but our d line is pretty good as well. We should stuff their run.
