Nah just ask Manvel how well that went last December. Superior black athletes verses a bunch of well coached white boys... honestly having good athletes (black athletes if that’s the term you prefer) certainly helps, but it’s not a guarantee for success.

I know and i was just saying that the same has been said of Silsbee too. I wouldn’t necessarily say outcoached, more like outmatched. Even in this game, is there an argument of who has more talent? No

Lol that’s been the knock on Silsbee the last few years only running a few different plays. We may be beat, but not outcoached in this game.

The Village Creek bowl... glad it’s back. I don’t think we have played Silsbee since like 2011 or 12

Key starters out are on offense. And we’ve held our own in the past couple years against teams with overall team speed. Silsbee will need to change up the play calling every now and then in order to dominate.

Running back probably won’t be fully helsthey, and qb will be playing in a brace with a tore acl IF he plays this week. Would be a tough win for my Raiders, it might hinge on our defensive performance.

They will probably beat them, not by that much though.

I thought about picking against Lumberton but couldn’t bring myself to do it. I would have been tied for first lol

I think people see “JV vs Varsity” and forget the size difference. I mean, I’m proud of our guys for earning this win, but it’s not that huge of a surprise.

Too 4 teams have bye weeks. Glad to see orangefield getting some attention, they seem to be a solid team this year.

Good point, and we really don’t know how good LCM is because of the schedule y’all have played... y’all will be lookin a lot better come district time. I can see our district winning 2 games, maybe 3 in bidistrict.

The tough part of the preseason schedule is over for Silsbee. I think it’s very important to come out and make a statement in this game. Anything less than a 2 td win would be upsetting imo.

But there’s not much of a passing threat. And against good defenses that’s what is killing Silsbee, everybody keys on the run.
