I think a lot of people on here think of us as the laughing stock of 22-5A. With the exception of Nederland and PNG, we were actually pretty competitive in most games..... that may be what he is basing his opinion off of. But I’m sure he will give you a more clear answer.

I heard the same, he will be one of the top receivers in our district.

I’m fine with that assumption from an outsider. I don’t expect anybody outside of Raider Nation to have high hopes for us until we come out and prove ourselves. It’s their job to go out there and earn some respect, which I’m believing they will do.

I’m glad we are playing y’all early this year. We have a more experienced group so that should give us an advantage. But I think playing Jasper and Silsbee will get us pretty prepared for district. I’m hoping for a injury free game, and wish the best of luck to Jasper the rest of the season.

Lol I agree. I still have a feeling that they will beat Silsbee in district then Silsbee will beat them in the playoffs. But who knows, Silsbee may win both.

Idk, Carthage was the state champs and a pretty good team. last year Carthage would have beat PNG. IMO

I’m hoping so. It’s a lot more fun for the kids to play in front of a big crowd for Friday nights. It creates a good..... atmosphere lol

Your talking about the same Silsbee team that barely lost to Carthage, the eventual state champs, in the first round (really should have won)... they were by no means small or inexperienced. Calvin Tyler, Willie Jones, Kaylon Barnes, Adonis Thomas- those are just a few of the VERY good players on that team.

Just judging off the past, neither ozen or Central brought many fans last year.. hopefully the community will rally around this team a lot better!

I know they lost some weapons, but PNG only scored below 40 points twice last year- 35 against Nederland and 24 against Texas City. I think this game could be a toss up, but they will score more than 24

On a normal Friday night you also do kickoffs and punts and play a full game and game plan and watch film and play your starters the whole game..... you get my point, it’s a little different

Exactly... i watched Vidor scrimmage Silsbee, and I guarantee they aren’t 19 points better than wos. The Stangs will be alright
