what does Livingston have coming back to put them at 2nd place? They got demolished by every team last year including Baytown Lee and us. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say they either barely sneak into the playoffs or could end up missing out all together. Im optimistic about Lumberton having our first ever solo district championship. But I definitely don’t wanna be “that guy” who drops down and starts beating their chest saying we are gonna run through this district. Because most weeks will still be a battle as always.

To my understanding, teams are allowed to go half pads on Thursday (yesterday) and full pads by Saturday.. that’s what Lumberton and Silsbee are both doing.

Yeah i hear png has a pretty good returning running back, but who am I? We all know Lumberton people know nothing about football.... lol

Yeah that’s him. Seems like he’s got some learning and growing to do, but I think he could potentially be a good qb in the years to come. Without a clear favorite, I would give him a shot. Rely on the legs of thunder and lightning and let the kid grow into the starting role.

There is another left handed qb. I think he is also a sophomore. Looks to have a pretty good arm, and pretty good body size/ height. Might be the best long term option.

A lot of question marks imo. After watching yesterday, Silsbee needs to find a qb. And they need to see who is gonna step up and take Adonis’s spot as the leader on defense. There are some good seniors on defense, time will tell who will step up and be that man. As for WOS, they always reload, but it will be interesting to see to what caliber they reload this year. I’m rooting for one of them two to bust through and make a run at the title.

The offense will be more diverse. Qb’s arm looked good last night.

That’s how i feel about our program in Lumberton. We are moving in the right direction. And when you have a reputation of poor football success in the past, then you have to accept the small steps forward instead of expecting a coach to come in and change everything in two years.

High School football!! Prayers for a safe year for all teams. Let’s all go out and represent SETX proudly. Let us know how your teams are looking. I’ll be watching Silsbee this morning and Lumberton this evening.

I’d give Vidor a fighting chance because of the offense they run, and BH, Dayton, and Crosby not used to seeing that every year. It can be tough to prepare for. I’m just glad Lumberton got out of there while we could lol

What happened to propane tanks with rocks in them?? That seemed to be the loudest noise maker when I was in school.

I love watching wos and am a huge fan myself. Watched them at the state championship for the past three years. But let’s not forget that we all said that wos would never be best by a slot running team. And they did get beat. It’s a whole new year, and I’m rooting for the stangs, but there are a lot of new faces.

I have a question because I’m ignorant on this subject and just an outsider with no dog in the fight. If he didn’t do any worse than the guy before him but he didn’t do much better either, then what made him deserving of the stadium name in the first place? What are the people on his side fighting for? once again, just curious because I don’t know much about this subject

I get that, but is this decision in Lumberton’s power as a community to make? Or is it the league’s decision?
