13-0 at one point so I’m sure some PAM peeps were biting their nails through that lightning delay.. my point was, it’s not like we got killed by everybody
-
We ran for that much against PNG... ended up with a big fat goose egg on the board. Good luck to y’all lol
-
Some people can’t see sarcasm... I guess they don’t know you well enough lol
-
We’ll always be the chumps.. even when we beat those teams, and almost pull the upset on Central and PAM. Doesn’t matter
-
Here we go again about the refs. Accept the fact that your team committed more penalties than the other team, and in that particular game you committed WAY more penalties. I know it’s hard to wrap our minds around, but it is possible that a team was just less disciplined on that night. Blame the refs all you want, but it’s like blaming a judge for someone being sentenced to prison. “Do the crime do the time” is the same as “committ the penalty and get the flag”. Whats wrong with our society? Instead of accepting responsibility we always want to blame somebody else.
-
Definitely? Considering we are in the last week of district and all the competition is the same, PNG is showing a point differential of at least 10-15 more than PAM.
-
What about offensive line? I’m sure Elia has some better blockers up front. And it’s only fair to make the comparison if RJ was at WB, seeing as we are comparing competition. That’s why I asked that. I mean, isn’t that the only true fair compirison between two different players is to put them in the same environments and compare how they performed? Now, since we obviously will never see what RJ would do at WB, it’s only a matter of opinion at this point. Which means neither one of us are “right”.
-
Fair enough, so how about this for debate.. you believe that if RJ was on WB playing against that same competition, you don’t think he would be putting up the same if not better numbers than Elia? Yeah, the kid had an awesome game last week, no doubt, but RJ has been putting up those kind of stats almost weekly. You don’t think he would be doing the same thing to those 6A teams considering he had the same supporting cast around him in WB that Elia has?
-
Ok i wasn’t gonna go this route but since you continue bringing us up and yalls STELLAR defensive performance against poor little chumperton..... We put up over 300 yards of offense on y’all. And yeah i know before you say it the scoreboard is the only thing that matters, but i still wouldn’t be proud and bragging about your defensive performance against us. A knowledgeable fan, and especially a good coach is gonna look at those stats and think “dang we kept them from scoring but we still have some major problems if they moved the ball on us like that” Because y’all will see much better offenses than Lumberton in the next few weeks, and they will move the ball better and score. For some reason we couldn’t punch it in that night, but i wouldn’t say y’all completely shut our offense down.
-
Don’t think your gonna get an answer to that.... crickets
-
I thought that’s what we were doing, debating?
-
Hey I’m just glad that we were able to provide a good comparison for y’all big boys.. I’m honored, and flattered! Lol
-
Yep... then there’s that lol
-
Lol now I don’t know about all that! I like my Columbia Blue
-
Nope, i wish I had tickets though, and if you would go back and read you would know that if I did I would be on PNG side, much better atmosphere and of course they are gonna win. Just stating that you can’t always go off of common opponents.
-
What about PAM? Y’all allowed 36 to them and Nederland only allowed 13.... so your argument is kinda flawed, never wise to compare common opponents.
-
Nope, I just stayed my opinion based on stats and you brought up competition.. btw, nobody is saying that Elia isn’t a great qb (at least I’m not anyway).
-
Doesn't mean anything that they were picked that way, just shows that whoever did that figuring was completely wrong.
-
70-43... apparently their defense isn’t THAT good
-
According to stats that WOSGrad posts, RJ leads in points scored by about 60 points, he leads in passing yards by 1000 yards, and he only trails in rushing yards by about 50 yards. RJ has 9 more passing touchdowns with 3 less interceptions, and 8 more rushing tds than Elia. So, IMO, if we’re gonna revisit this topic because of the big game that Elia had last week (which I’m assuming that’s why you brought this back up) then it’s very clear that RJ has a huge statistical advantage over him.

Ok and? You said they had to pull away late to win... they shut them out, they didn’t have to pull away to win anything. -
