Even if two plays are run up the middle it doesn’t necessarily mean they are the same play. And a lot of times those plays have reads that gives the qb an option. Back in 2007 when we made our run we basically ran sweep, iso, power, and stretch. Only difference is back then the players believed that we could run it down people’s throats. We KNEW we were gonna win the battle up front.

You’ve got a point, and he probably won’t be 100% but I know he’ll give it his all with only two games left in his HS career. Conway is a good rb too and I just don’t see ozen pulling a win out in this one

Ok, so with the talent level that we have, what would you do different? We have a good qb but don’t have the speed to run the spread. Have the leading rb in the district so of course we are gonna utilize him. And if you watch film you will see that blown assignments are usually what stops a play from being a positive play. I don’t think it’s play calling being the issue, I believe Babin is doing the best with what he’s got. We were in the red zone about 5 times against central and because of silly mistakes and penalties we almost came up empty in that game. At some point the players need to be blamed for stuff like that. We actually outgained Central, so I don’t think it all can be blamed on play calling...

I agree with you 100%.. and I don’t need to go back and read any of your posts, because no matter how much you like to stir the pot (especially when it comes to us) I do respect what you have to say. That comment wasn’t directed towards you. There’s certain teams *cough pam cough* who just wont let it go about the refs every single game. And then turn around and talk crap on a very good qb that just beat their team. That’s what I can’t stand. It gets pretty annoying to see teams that are used to winning and when they lose one game they can’t just admit that they lost fair and square.

Or it could just be maturity, something that some “winners” on here don’t even have.

I find it funny when fans (even in our stands) complain anytime a flag is thrown. There’s no way I or anybody in the stands can see the whole field, and most of the time I’m watching the play, not paying attention to linemen blocking or stuff like that. So basically what I’m trying to say is for me to complain about a holding call would be dumb unless I actually see it happen. 9 times out of 10 I think people just complain just to do it. And once again, I’m speaking of Lumberton fans too!

I think he actually meant the opposite, that a team with talent all over the field got beat by a bunch of chumps (in your eyes), and that same team almost messed around and got beat by Lumberton and Nederland too

I predict that we will be getting a lot of young players playing time after we pull ahead in this game

I think both sides just need to drop the issue. Unless we all sit down and watch the game film together then we will never have a clear answer. Because, even being in attendance, that doesn’t mean one can see everything. It’s better off just left alone and move ahead to the next game.
