  1. Yeah Ryan was fullback that year and my brother (Scott) was at receiver. He had played fullback the year before. I think before the PNG game they moved him back to fullback and him and Ryan alternated.
  2. I agree, but what do I know. I'm just a Lumberton loser!
  3. Fair enough. Although a head to head only tells which team is better, not necessarily individual players.
  4. Ok, I have one more question and I'm done: do you stand behind your statement that you made a month ago, that not only is Jones as good if not better than RJ, but that RJ would be a back up THIS year for PAM? Or do you want to retract that statement now?
  5. Well that's weird.. but at least they get to play. My whole 7th grade season was wiped out by Rita
  6. So let me get this straight: You stated, in the original thread, that without RJ PNG would be a bottom dweller. So let's run with that logic and assume that you are correct there. So PNG sucks except for one player. A player which you say would be average at best on your team. So this crappy PNG team comes into YOUR house led by one average sophomore qb and puts up 28 points on your Titans.... and you call that average? You say he didn't look impressive against y'all? 28 points, in yalls own back yard!!!! And here's my second problem with your statement you just made: now your saying that RJ wouldn't start at PAM not because Jones is necessarily better, but because you have to pay your dues and upperclassmen get the start. Ok.... so.... why has Hines been starting all these year? He wasn't an upperclassman who paid his dues.... No, he started because he was the best RB in Port Arthur, just like RJ Would start because he would be the best qb in Port Arthur. The state. The country maybe. Heck the whole universe lol ok I'm exaggerating but you get my point. Your digging yourself deeper, just admit that you were wrong and we can move on.
  7. Well in those two games we won in a shootout in which we came out crappy early but then turned it on offensively in the second half, and then of course got hammered by PNG. At this point, anybody outside of Lumberton will and should pick against us. I don't blame them, I'm just choosing to hold on to the hope that last Wednesday was just a horrible game for us all around against a good team. Time will tell.
  8. Fair assessment. as a homer I'm choosing not to judge us based off of the PNG game.. I wanna see how we do against the other teams first.
  9. I don't think they will be embarrassed this week either, just wont come out with a W. Nelson is gonna do good, I just next year will be yalls breakout year from him that your looking for.
  10. True, which means I'll take my chances with vidor in a sloppy game for two reasons: 1- that offense is hard to stop if your not mentally prepared for it. 2- Vidor has been focusing on Central for the past week and a half due to their bye week. The coaches will have them ready for this game. In a sloppy game it's going to come down to who makes less mistakes. I would say Vidor at this point.
  11. We'll beat Lee and Ozen. And as we have the past few years we will compete with central even though we are always the underdogs in that game, this year we will pull out a win though! And who knows about Vidor until they actually play a game. We usually do pretty well against their offense unless they have a Quirante stud at qb. i think game against y'all was hopefully a big learning experience for us.

  13. I quoted you in the original two hours ago. Nothing but crickets chirping since then.....
  14. Am I right, or am I right? "he wouldn't not have started this year due to there is someone just as good if not better starting. He would be in varsity as backup or playing WR." i rest my case, you never said anything about a competition. You clearly stated he would be back up.
  15. Incorrect? Do I need to go quote you in the original thread to prove myself right?
  16. That's what I'm thinking. If you remember correctly, it was clearly stated that if RJ were to be playing for PAM then he would be back up right now. And even back then I questioned if Jones would be able to make the transition from receiver to qb and I was assured that he would be the best in the area. IDK, I haven't seen him play so I can't judge. I'm just kinda confused at this point since they are already wanting to pull the plug on him.
