That's gonna be the big question mark for silsbee. Hopefully they can get it together

What WOSGrad said.. their good relationship is why this game is even being played. i must say though, even though obviously I want my Raiders to win, I really don't care at this point. I just want to be in the stands watching football!!

He left two years ago. So not anymore interesting than last year.

Glad we all get some comedy in our lives in a time like this. We all needed the good laugh

This is all so crazy! I manage a small business and the thought of where we go from here is overwhelming, but I can't imagine what school district officials are going through right now. Where do we even begin....

Won't it pretty much be the same offense that y'all had last year at this point? Skill position wise at least. Minus McZeal. -

Unless I'm just completely oblivious, I don't see why coach babin would say no -

I wouldn't say a walk in park. Last year we had a fumbling problem and yalls defense was a lot better than it will be this year. The year before it was a lot closer than the scores appears. We drop a game tying td at halftime that completely killed any momentum we had, and PNG came out in the second half and put it on us. I'll give y'all that. PNG will always be a tough game and y'all will always play hard, but I'm telling you it won't be no walk in the park. Now, I don't blame you for thinking that way and until we beat y'all then that won't change, but I'm just saying don't be so quick to overlook us this year or in the years to come. Babin is building something special. Now back to the thread topic, we will know a lot from both teams after this game. Up until now it's been useless making predictions because you can't judge anything from a scrimmage. RJ will be on fire as usual, and nobody will stop him but slowing him down is the key. If the offensive line can't hold their blocks, and if ends can keep containment, then I could see silsbee secondary shutting the pass attack down. All that's left to do is stop RJ from running. A lot easier said than done, but it's possible. Assignment football is what it's gonna take. adonis WILL keep the sticks moving. Silsbee qb is still unproven so that's the weak spot. Question is, will coach rely on Adonis and win this game, or work on the passing game some to get Collins ready for district and risk a possible preseason loss that means nothing but bragging rights? This will be a great game to watch. Completion on both sides will be good. Just hope both teams can stay injury free. -

I know he can back this up, it's just that defense and o-line I would be concerned about. -

Going to be a good game with no clear favorite. -
They project us to drop down. However, like you said, we are growing and it won't be long and we will be right back up to 5A.

Can't believe it's already this time of year again!! First off, let's hope that we even get to play this game. Last year it got cancelled as well due to lightning I believe. Its football time! Can't wait to see our team in some real action! With the offense being a little more balanced this year, I can see Ward having a great season along with Conway as well.

Bridge city, lumberton, silsbee, and probably LCM will still beat them.

I've seen a couple say that they are a potential future powerhouse -
Central, Chumperton, and Vidor. the true contendors?
L-Train11 replied to Stattrax's topic in High School Football
Lol Stat just likes giving us chumperton peeps a hard time. He tells it like it is so you gotta respect him for that. Sadly when it comes to Lumberton and football he has earned the right to say whatever it is he wants to say. We have beat PNG once in our schools history that I'm aware of, 2008 I believe. The only way to stop the stirring of the pot is to beat those purple Indians! Playoffs isn't good enough. It's a start, and making playoffs yearly is a good goal at the moment, but we can't be satisfied with just that. I know coach babin isn't, and that's the mindset he brings to the table.
