  1. No reason to fire back. PNG and PAM are favorites in the district and I would be dumb to think otherwise. I just don't think central and Nederland have the 3 and 4 spot on lock down.
  2. Not sure the reason for this post. I haven't seen a single lumberton or vidor fan say they will knock off PNG or PAM this year, only that we will be contending for a playoff spot. Central on the other hand is going a little overboard with this coaching change in my opinion.. they will not finish second ahead of PNG
  3. That is correct. Stat knows all, everyone else is just rah rahhing..
  4. Actually they have a stud running back who will easily get 3-4 yards a carry. Which is going to help them more on defense. Adonis will pick up solid yards and keep the sticks moving which will keep opponents offense off the field.
  5. Plenty of help around him actually. Big offensive line, and a good passing game this year as well. Your right about the secondary though. Hopefully we can see some improvements there
  6. That's awesome!! HEB should reward this young man for his integrity.
  7. Lol last year I would joke with my father in law and call them the Silsbee Transfers.. but at least Adonis is a true Tiger!
  8. Also, I don't know where silsbee gets all these running backs but it seems like y'all have a whole handful that ran pretty well yesterday!!
  9. Neither coach sets a gameplan in a scrimmage. They set plays that they want to see on film and they run those.. it might be 3rd and 15 and if a run play is the next play on the list then that's what they are gonna run. I guarantee you we as fans put a lot more thought into who "wins or loses" a scrimmage than coaches do. Obviously babin wanted to see what the passing game looked like (and in my opinion it looked pretty decent) and coach smith wanted to run a basic offense. His concern is probably the offensive line so he probably wanted to see if they knew their basic assignments (that's just my guess). Everyone knows they can run Adonis between the tackles every play and get 4 yards a play when it comes down to the real game. No need to do that for an entire scrimmage and take nothing away from it. The only gameplan Lumberton is worried about right now is for porter, and silsbee is focusing on PNG.
  10. He transferred in at the end or after football season last year.
  11. Honestly, we were getting to him and as soon as our guys touched him they blew the whistle. So didn't really get to see much from him.
  12. I figured they would shut down our passing attach a little better, but y'all do have a lot of talent on that side of the ball.
  13. Not sure when he played, but he coached me in high school and is with PNG now. He was a pretty good qb from what I hear, and moved to receiver in college.
  14. Lol yes that was a little before my time! I recognize the name though.
  15. Lumberton threw the ball today more than we ever have, which was expected with a true passing qb and some big targets at TE and WR. Seemed like we were mainly trying to work on that today. Ward and Conway both looked pretty good running the ball when given the chance. I think we'll be alright if we can balance the offense out. silsbee is gonna be good. Defense is looking much better than in years past. A few time our d line got to Collins before he could get the ball out. That would be my biggest concern for them going forward.
  16. Exactly... people have been doing it for years. Although I love our turf, it's not that necessary.
