  1. That is part of the fun of playing Vidor in football. The Coach Mathews sideline show is part of the ambiance. Both teams play all out/all the time against each other & neither coach is happy with what the other coaches, players & referees are doing. You know it's a great game when both teams fan bases complain about the referees & other teams coaches before, during & after the game, regardless of who wins!!! READY FOR FRIDAY & THE INDIAN AIR ATTACK!!! 100% support of Vidor victories, after this week's game!
  2. Great coaching & game plan by Memorial. Work on not grabbing arms & legs when you are blocking. Our coaches adjusted, we came back. PNG INDIAN FOOTBALL RULES!
  3. After 52 years of attending PNG football, I consider myself to be a true PNG Indian fan. I honestly believe our young defense does not yet have the skills to stop a good running team. *NOTE: I said a GOOD running team.* Memorial can run the football. That being said, PNG is capable of putting up points, period. If we establish the run, we can eat the clock. If not, we will be in trouble. BOTH THESE TEAMS ARE PLAYOFF BOUND. EXPECTING A GREAT GAME! Hopefully all the players will play with respect for each other, and stay injury free. The only thing that is accomplished by acting like an arrogant, proud fool on the field is that you make standard old every day normal fools look intelligent. This goes for both teams! NO SCORE PREDICTION FROM ME! May God keep both teams safe!!!
  4. I have a hotel for Sunday night, in town,so I can spend a day in "beautiful", (Oh Well, Decent) Livingston, TX. I will proudly wear my purple. I will spread peace & goodwill hither & yon. Prior to the lion taming party. I will, of course. make the trip with my mosquito spray, rain gear, wife & PNG Football in my heart. Then the long drive home for work on Tuesday.
  5. Playing SETX Football, GREAT! Rivalries that have gone on for decades, AWESOME! Victories over teams whose head coach makes more than yours, PRICELESS!!! Faircloth is worth "MORE" than every penny (even if it is the third most in the area) & his salary is not the guide to his love of the players at PNG!!!
  6. PA Memorial has a plethora of top athletes & will be extremely difficult to beat this season. That is unless the opposing team plays mistake free football against them. I have a great deal of respect for Beaumont Central, that said, I do not believe they have the skill players, across the board, to beat Memorial.
  7. Very important that PNG defense develop in this game. Speed, tackling, containment & quickness. Each game you must improve & the Indian defense has a lot of room for improvement. Our offense needs to concentrate on basic execution of plays & getting use to playing as a unit. If we play offense to our potential we should score a significant amount of points in this game. The coaches will have us ready to play. Get ready Lumberton...oh well at least get ready by next week. Hate these long breaks between district games.
  8. Yep, we have got to contain & stop the running game, otherwise no one will have to throw on us, & those teams who can set up the pass with the run will give us fits!!! WE HAVE TO WORK ON THAT INDIAN DEFENSE SPEED & TACKLING!!!
  9. Not for PNG, we have an off week right after this game. Another 12 day wait, before we play, then sadley a Monday Night game in Livingston. YUCK!!!
  10. That muddies things up good. We need to make sure all of the new schedules for each team update here.
  11. Does that mean that the district games slated on the 15th will move to the 11/3/17 game date schedule, since we are not starting until the week of the 22nd for districr?
  12. I am under stress with my own damage, sick of the destruction, sympathetic to all who are suffering, but most importantly, I AM READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!! Love Those Indians!!! Will be victory for PNG.
  13. well that didn't pan out to well last year did it?? lol This is "this" year, not last year. Last year inexperienced sophomore quarterback leads PNG through a poorly executed ball game, where he was rushed & taken down constantly by the PAM defense, to a mere 5 point loss! This year, more experience, more weapons, well, as I said new year, new plan, new speed weapons! I LOVE FOOTBALL & greatly appreciate the athletes on PAM. I am truly exited about this game. Love your commitment as a fan pakronos.
  14. They won't have to get more touches, just the occasional fake handoff to, then reverse, then fake pass, then screen, then run, then pass back, we hold every option with our backfield speed & quarterback. *Oh What Fun It Is To Run, Shug & Friends are on their way!!!!!!*
  15. I believe that there are at least 2 running backs, with great speed, that will be on varsity in the backfield with Shug. So please feel free to key on "the man" so the Indians "without all the press coverage" can run wild. Just sayin'!

    OJ

He is better off in jail. He can't profit from book, or movie deals. Who is going to hire him? He has a room, food, tv. Stay OJ Stay!!!! No need to bother to "Go"
  17. Will not bother me a bit if PNG ditches the gray uniforms. We are not Gray & Purple. We are Royal Purple & White!!! Wish we could return to the old zig-zag line pattern on the sleeves & pants, from the 70s. Now those were awesome, cool uniforms. Thanks for your interest pakronos. By the way I am bored too!!! READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!
  18. Those PNG Football Fans that remember & hold fond memories of the late Ken Young aka NDN KEN, will be saddened by the passing of his wife, Christy Young. She passed on 7/18/2017. This was a true lady, and though she will be missed in this world, she joins him in the next!!! God receive her & bless this family!!! From one PNG Fan, this couple was loved!!!
  19. New Head Baseball Coach at Hamshire-Fannett is Jeremy Seymour. Great player at Nederland. Will bring energy commitment & a go-for-it attitude to the Horns Baseball Program. Best of Luck Coach Seymour!!!
  20. Jeremy Seymour is taking over the head baseball coaching job at Hamshire-Fannett. He was a great player at Nederland. He also was an assistant football coach at HF last year & was successful when handed the soccer coaching duties last year for HF. Now that he can concentrate on Baseball, and not Soccer, baseball being his passion, he will do everything in his power to bring success to the HF baseball program. Get after 'em Coach Seymour! Wish you all the best at HF!
  21. Agreed Memorial is explosive. Only way to keep the PAM score down is for the other team to move the ball & score often. You will also need some defensive breaks & Memorial offensive mistakes, as well. That being said, the reason the game is played is too see what will happen! Just ask Vidor, PNG & Memorial ... I think all these teams will agree, regardless of team skill, speed, power etc...We all want to see those games played!!! Let's get that football started!!!
  22. I have a contact at CC John Paul. They are coming to Beaumont-Thomas Center, as far as they are concerned. Hope that helps!
  23. PNG scrimmages WOS, but I would love to see that game in the pre-season every year. Great teams & atmosphere.
