Well I say that the BH fight song, uhhhhh, what is it again?, Oh well, WHO CARES. Not familiar with that tune, do not care if its played. Now Cherokee, 30-40 times is good for me. GO PNG!!!
-
The greatest way to honor our fight song is to mock it. Remember, we don't even know your fight song, but you will NEVER forget ours. Scalp 'em Indians!!!

6pm according to the sports director

Hey Bro, you get serious talking tough. PNG will get serious playing football. Safe travel, safe game & God Bless both teams; their players, coaches & fans.
-
At Lumberton, best to stand around talking for an hour until everyone has cleared out!!!
-
The problem at Lamar is all exits on 1 street going 1 way : Nightmare!!!
-
Although it is fun being trapped in the Lamar Parking lot for 30 to 45 minutes after the game is over! Everyone should experience that wonderful feeling! Ha Ha Ha
-
That is the best bet!!!
-
I could get no answer other than they normally do so for basketball & there is an opening home game the same night as our football game. The first parking lot, scoreboard end, may have limited access until after 5pm due to business office being open, but that has not been determined. Sorry! No definite answer for you. once again, you have to love the organizational skills at Lamar.
-
Thanks for the info!
-
Do we know who the home team is yet?
-
Ditto!!! Indian pride from side-to-side!!!
-
PNG defense may slow down BH offense, but I do not see us stopping it. PNG has got to put points up on the board, (running or passing). We cannot have turnovers. Hold that ball tight, go forward, use our speed. Keys to victory!

You can be a Lamar Basketball fan and complain about parking. IT IS RIDICULOUS, to have a football game at Provost-Umphrey Stadium while there is a home opener basketball game going on at Montagne Center.
-
Sadly the game is Friday at 7:pm 13 0p Minutes meet at Lamar University in Beaumont. The same night Lamar opens it's home basketball season at 7pm. Therefore a potential parking lot nightmare. Got to love those great organizational and planning skills.

22-5A vs 21-5A bidistrict venue prediction

Friday. I was told by BF talk. -
Soundly Defeating PNG? (by 5 points)...hmmm, OK, sounds legit. NOT!

Let's compare: Sherman, TX to Denison, TX City to City: (10 miles or so apart) Combined Town Population: Sherman, Tx & Denison, TX Approx: 52,000 (Not counting surrounding areas) Nederland vs. Port Neches, TX (1 step apart, literally) Combined Town Population: Nederland, Port Neches, Groves: Approx: 45,000 (There is not much surrounding area) I have no idea how many fans Sherman vs. Denison games draw.. Nederland vs. Port Neches- Groves game can draw 15, 000, or 1/3 the entire population. Consequently, there are many more fans for Mid-County Madness that can't get tickets. I understand that you feel your rivalry is superior & you are entitled to your opinion. Comparisons can go on forever, but to see PNG vs Nederland, is to believe in the magic & spectacle.

Mature Heads prevailing: This is a Football game: Both Teams want to win, both teams have there own special areas of talent & yes, both teams have playoff quality coaches. I stated earlier that this will be a good game, a hard fought game. Coach LN has proved he knows how to win. Coach BF has led PNG to the playoffs nearly every season. I have nothing but respect for the players & coaches for both teams. On a personal note: I hate losing to Nederland the past several years, however, I'll take a PNG coach that has trouble beating Nederland, but gets my Indians to the playoffs. This is preferable to me than trying to find a coach that can beat Nederland, but might not get to the playoffs. This series will always be the highlight of district football play for PNG. It will not be the highlight of the football season, 'cause that is the playoff games job. I wish my Indians all the power to play well this week & beat Nederland. I wish them more power to prove that when we go to the playoffs, we prove we should be in the playoffs & let Coach BF get the better of those other playoff teams. NOW THAT IS INDIANS FOOTBALL!!!!
-
Common opponents does not matter. Head to Head matters. PNG often has the weapons to win, but LN always finds a way to win. I believe this may be one close, great game between two teams that want it bad. I have no prediction. The team that has the fewest turnovers, and can establish the run, wins this one.

PNG already has 2 wins at Stallworth this year. This is a great choice for the 1st round playoff game. -

PNG has Stallworth reserved for Friday night on 1st playoff weekend, regardless of the opponent. -
