  1. Kirbyville took it in 4 in a close one.
  2. Bob Hope School - Sarah Morgan. First year coach, with a background in softball and volleyball. Will also have Tiffany Noble as an assistant, she played college ball at SHSU.
  3. Bob Hope School - Rick Frey (Our coach from last year Shane Nutt went back to Big Sandy to coach basketball)
  4. For this situation, they would have to have clearance from the UIL with a residence eligibility waiver.
  5. I was a head six man coach for a while. Playing defense is pretty tough if you don't have studs. One year down in Brenham, we had about twelve seniors and about twenty five rostered and won the TAPPS state championship by 45ing every team we played. Two years later we were down to nine boys and finished the year 1-9. Teaching kids how to open field tackle is the most important thing you can do on defense (especially your cover guys).
  6. Yeah I wouldn't be so sure about that.
  7. Not sure on sets three and four but I know Kountze beat Bob Hope in 4 tonight. Set 1 - 25-20 Kountze Set 2 25-21 Bob Hope Set 3 - Kountze - ? Set 4 - Kountze - ?
  8. I'm so proud of these girls. We are currently 13-11, which is a great season for us so far, and although district hasn't turned out the way we wanted, we really haven't been blown out. We played Buna tough, we beat Anahuac, took a set from Kirbyville, and almost took a set from Hardin at the YMBL (lost 26-24). We won third this year in the Trinity Tournament, going 5-1 during that tournament and beating teams like Trinity, Latexo, and Colmesneil. In addition to that, we took 5A Port Arthur Memorial to 4 sets this year, winning our first set against Memorial for the first time. We only have one senior on the team (who is getting a lot of interest from an NCAA Division III University), so we will be returning everyone next year. Our 7th grade team is currently undefeated and has beaten Kirbyville, Anahuac, and Warren so far this year. We have 25 8th graders that will be moving into our high school program next year, so we are looking at 55+ in the high school volleyball program next year. Things are good!
  9. This is such a sad situation. I grew up in Navasota. To see that team go to the heights that it reached under Fedora, only to have that taken away by selfish decisions is a shame to the community and the kids. Smh.
  10. Hardin 6-0 East Chambers 5-1 Kountze 4-2 Warren 4-2 Kirbyville 2-4 Buna 2-4 Bob Hope 1-5 Anahuac 0-6

  12. Hardin 5-0 East Chambers 4-1 Warren 4-1 Kountze 3-2 Kirbyville 2-3 Bob Hope 1-4 Buna 1-4 Anahuac 0-5
  13. EC took this in straight sets. I have 25-16, 25-15, 25-11
  14. Hardin 4-0 East Chambers 3-1 Warren 3-1 Kirbyville 2-2 Kountze 2-2 Bob Hope 1-3 Buna 1-3 Anahuac 0-4
  15. Warren won in straight sets – 25-16, 25-22, 29-27
  16. Don't have the numbers in front of me but Kirbyville won 3-1
  17. They opened a charter school here I guess about 5-6 years ago. Our population has been booming, going from small 2A up to decent sized 3A in the past couple of years. Wonderful kids, great academics, and a developing athletics program that is beginning to bloom. I love it here!
  18. Bob Hope beats Anahuac 3-2! First set – Bob Hope 25-18 Second Set – Bob Hope 25-9 Third Set – Anahuac 25-20 Fourth Set – Anahuac 25-17 Fifth Set – Bob Hope 15-8 Our first district win in 3A!! We are now 13-7 on the season and 1-1 in district!
  19. The brackets changed this morning. However, Bob Hope School won Pool 4 and went 2-0 on day 1. We beat Beaumont Legacy and Colmesneil, both in straight sets.
  20. Bob Hope takes the final set 25-14 to win in straight sets.
  21. Bob Hope takes the second set 25-11
  22. Bob Hope takes the first set 25-23
  23. Daisetta took it in straight sets.
  24. I left this one in the second quarter. Daisetta has some good backs.
  25. I am shocked. Last week Brenham steamrolled Westside. Wasn't even a game. Memorial must be making a lot of mistakes because when I was at Westbury last season, Westside was pretty rough. I think they lost 80-0 in the first round of the playoffs to Katy.
