Bob Hope School moves to 1-0 with a straight sets win over High Island 25-22, 25-18, 25-14!

The Lady Eagles just had some tough scrimmages to prepare them for the season and will square off in their opening game tomorrow at 4:30 at High Island. PA News recently ran a piece on Coach Elliott's feelings after two a days. We also were lucky enough to have Debbie Peltier come and hold a summer camp at our school. If I remember right even that private school there in Bellville had really good girls volleyball and softball. Must be something in the water down 36 lol

How does Brenham look? That's my home town. I miss it. I used to coach six man football against Faith Academy there in Bellville:)

Bob Hope School will be joining UIL for soccer this year, playing up into 4A as part of District 20. Our district consists of Bob Hope School, Little Cypress Mauriceville, Bridge City, East Chambers, and Hamshire Fannett. Soccer has always been a very strong sport for us, so we are hoping to make a splash. We will have both varsity and junior varsity teams, so that will help us build. Our boys will be squaring off with the state champion Palestine Wildcats on February 10th and our girls will be facing state runner up Jasper on January 27th. In addition to our first year of UIL, we have also hired a new soccer coach, John Morgan. Coach Morgan comes to us from Mississippi, where he was a former head soccer coach. I appreciate it. We just keep moving in the right direction. I'm interested in seeing how our girls compete this year. We have some tough scrimmages lined up so that should be a good measuring stick.

Bob Hope School is very excited with the hire of our new volleyball coach, Brandee Elliott, former Head Volleyball Coach at Anahuac. Coach Elliott had three years of playoff experience at Anahuac and comes in to coach a Lady Eagles team that made the playoffs last year in 2A and return almost everyone from that team.

Oh there is no doubt we are going to have our hands full. Moving up from 2A is going to be tough. However, we have our JV squads in place for most sports, got a weight room together for the first time, summer conditioning program is kicking off tomorrow for the first time......so hopefully we keep moving in the right direction!

Bob Hope School has joined UIL for baseball. I will be our head coach. Our baseball and softball will be competing in District 23 3A.

The game above was Evadale vs. Bob Hope. The final was 18-4. It was played 4/8/16.

Well we weren't able to keep the undefeated streak alive. Memorial came out strong and scored off a header 7 minutes in. They added another goal late in the 2nd half to win 2-0. It was a very classy game though from both sides.

6pm on Tuesday at Memorial. Port Arthur Memorial has made the playoffs this year. In order to get them ready for the playoffs, they will have a playoff warm up game against Bob Hope. This should be a good game, as they are a 6A playoff squad, and we are 2A but our boys are undefeated this season (this will be our final game). Next year we will be participating in 4A UIL for soccer. Our kids can't wait! I am thinking we should be pretty competitive, as we have 40 kids on our varsity and junior varsity with 39 returning next year (only one senior!). Should be a great game!

This is our first year with a JV squad. I hear Evadale is supposed to be excellent this year.
