Bob Hope wins. I believe the final was 58-49. Bob Hope was down by 18 at one point but rallied back for the win. Big night for Jaydon Daigle and Chris May.

We advanced to the area round last year, got beat by La Vega 2-1, after beating Jasper 3-0 in bi-district. I think we will be stronger this year. We had two guys sign with universities, Bryan Gutierrez at Lubbock Christian University (NCAA DII) and Jorge Martinez at Paul Quinn College (NAIA) last season. I think we have the chance to have even more guys signing this year. In addition to that, we have Cristian Figueroa returning, the District 20-4A Defensive MVP (as a freshmen) and Beaumont Enterprise Super Gold First Teamer. We are also working on our home field, which hopefully will be completed by January 1. Super excited for this year!!

As they say in boxing, styles make fights. After watching Manvel vs. Nederland, I think Memorial would beat Manvel. I honestly think Temple will be a tougher game for them than Manvel would be.

Port Arthur has been decimated. We have tons of students and teachers who have lost everything. No word on how the school fared. We were lucky to get out with the kids and pets, but I was getting videos yesterday of my athletes going down Proctor and helping pull people out of houses. It's real bad.

This game was cancelled due to the storm.

Nick King - Bob Hope School - Southwest Texas Junior College

Well things didn't go as well as we expected. Still struggling with communication and it showed tonight. Spurger won in 3, 20-25, 22-25, 20-25. Our JV won in 2 to stay undefeated for the season.

I don't have the specific numbers, but I know we tied in pool play with Baytown Christian and Houston Homeschool Association, and lost on day one to Clear Lake Christian. On the bracket play we beat Pasadena Faith, lost to The Village School from Houston, and beat Houston Christian. We are currently 3-2 on the season at the varsity level.
