Nice post. What a douche.
You're right, what a douche! Trinity Lang shouldn't try to rob somebody at gun point over their Miami Hurricanes jacket. -

It's Ivory Durio hands down. Probably the best player to ever play in Dayton. -
Sterling was the best golfer to ever come out of this area also. His son Bobby could swing the sticks also. ;) -
District 19-4A Football Predictions
brett_reeves replied to FOOTBALLFEVER99's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
You're right about one thing. 4 teams in the playoffs is ridiculous. -
WTB, 15 years ago you could have said Dayton was the worst job in SE Texas. Dayton has nice facilities, good pay for its coaches, and the support of the community and administrators because of what Coach Stewart did for that program. Dayton has had some great players the last few years, but there were some seasons under Stewart where the talent was pretty thin and they still made the playoffs. On average I don't think Dayton has been any more or less talented than they were before Stewart, just better coaching. I'll agree Dayton's current district isn't as strong as 22-4a but it's not like Dayton didn't dominate that district also. In 22-4a Dayton was 11-2 (both losses by one point). Averaged 37 points a game and gave up just over 5 points a game. Minor correction 13-1 (only loss to L-town) Sorry. The ole memory isn't what it used to be, but you get my point.

Not sure, but I guess we'll see what happens when he gets an offer from UT.
-
He's attending UT"s Junior Day this weekend and in supposed to be offered. I think he'll probably commit on the spot or soon thereafter because UT's class is filling up fast.
-
StevieRay, you're forgetting about Zac Lee. He would be the most likely choice to be the starter. He's been in the program for three years now. From everything I've read, Cody Green will likely be the #2 guy now with Witt transferring. I'm not saying Cody can't beat Lee out but he's at a distinct disadvantage only having spring ball before the season starts. I would rather Cody redshirt, but with Witt gone that is unlikely. Most are saying that Spano will be the odd man out. He was just unlucky being recruited between two QB's that are better than him.

Jeremy Johnson (Silsbee) & Earl Hines (PAM)
brett_reeves replied to GoBigBlue1997's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
That might be his hand timed 40. If he ran a legit, laser timed 40 that fast, he would be faster than all but 10 players from the 2008 NFL Combine. Jamaal Charles was the fastest person in the Big 12 last year and he ran a 4.38 at the combine. -

Johnson is currently on the most recent list of invites per orangebloods.com I'm not saying he won't get an offer, but My question is if he's offered as an athlete what position would he play? QB? UT has one commit already and on the verge of getting another. DB? UT is looking to take 3-4. Has two commits already and are in good shape with several others ranked much higher. WR? Also looking to take 3-4 with two already committed and another commit coming on or before the JR day as well as two out of state national top 100 type players that have been offered. I just don't see the scholly numbers working in Johnson's favor. Hines may have a chance for an offer, but with two guys already committed at the LB position and two other offers out at the position I don't see it. Hines may have a shot at a late offer if all other options fall through. -
People really have to stop blaming Earl for the TT lose. No. 1 - Didn't Gideon drop a gimme INT? No. 2 - If the kickoff return team doesn't allow TT to run the ball back so far maybe the defense could have held on a little more. No. 3 - If Earl does make the tackle, or also include the other DB who was covering Crabtree, or push Crabtree out of bounds, I think TT would have been able to kick the game winning field goal from about 20 yards out. Earl Thomas also dropped a gift wrapped interception that hit him in the chest a few minutes before Gideon. It wasn't like the one Gideon dropped but it should have been easily caught.
