  1. No not a Texans fan. More of a Texans fan than a Cowboys fan. I don't think we are far off in our thinking. I am not against an expansion to 8. I think I would rather have the Committee choose the top 8, as they do the top 4 now. That way if Northwestern were to upset someone in a one week game, the committee could save the day. They could say "even with that one win, Northwestern doesn't need to be in after their pitiful 4 losses to AKRON and Duke". And, at that point, pick the top 8 teams.
  2. How many have made real runs in football?
  3. They didn't have to "run the table". Bro they are in the Big 10 West, where the 2nd best team is Iowa. They got a gift to play in the Conference Game. They lost 4 games... that is not running a table, that is playing in an awful division. That team should have 0 chance of playing in the National Playoff. I will play the game. If they NFL did what NCAA does for football, and we take the top 4 teams....According to ESPN Power Rankings 1.Rams 2.Patriots 3.Chiefs 4. Saints Ironically, that is what it will probably look like in Conference week. Saints@Rams Chiefs@Patriots.
  4. I'd rather an undefeated Clemson team who played a weak schedule be in, rather than give Northwestern any hope. All they would have to do is win one game and the fact they lost to AKRON and DUKE would mean nothing. I am not good with that
  5. All other sports can play more than one game a week. They play entire tournaments in two days. Football is not any other sport. You can't compare football with any other sport. Northwestern got beat by AKRON and DUKE, on top of Notre Dame and Ohio State. A team with this record should have no business having a shot for a title.
  6. A 20 point blowout loss to LSU cost Georgia.
  7. No Georgia was punished for 1 bad decision (even if they punted, the game was tied so it is not like that was the only thing that cost them the game) and a putrid performance against LSU. One play didn't cost them a chance at a National Championship.
  8. Wouldn't Clemson be entitled to one bad game? "That's basically saying to a school that you're not allowed to have a single off game or have any key injuries". According to you Clemson would still deserve to be in there. And football is not basketball. Evadale can play Newton in football a million times and never win.
  9. You picked Giddings to beat Silsbee by 2+ scores didn't you? You also said Giddings had a tougher schedule than Silsbee... And they are idiots?
  10. I'm referring to SETX, as in like the vacinity of where I live. Ignorant, yes. If looking at a map, I could identify where SETX would be considered. But for this discussion, SETX is like uhh Kirbyville, to PA, to East Chambers, to the Kountze area. Moving clockwise
  11. He raised a hell of a young man as well.
  12. I get it. I would go to the game if it was here in SETX. But, I don't want to drive that far. Plus, I would have to scrounge up some gas money.
  13. I think they are banking on the fans who would cause trouble, not making the drive. Whereas they play at Lamar, every turn in SETX would be there. That is what I am getting.
  14. Part of the problem is Notre Dame should have to be in a conference. Whichever one they go in doesn't matter. I'm not against expansion. The years where there are multiple upsets in Championship week would suck due to having teams like Northwestern and Pitt taking up two spots. Consequently, two at large bids would have to go to those teams that got upset. If UCF were to beat LSU in the Bowl, that would be 2 undefeated seasons, and 2 wins over highly ranked SEC schools. By the time they finally get put in, Milton and them bad boys will be gone and we will have missed the only real chance we had for a mid-major to make a real run at it. UCF last year was very very good.
  15. When it goes to 8, 9 and 10 will be debated. UCF has won 24 straight, beating a highly ranked Auburn team in the process, how are they not in an 8 team playoff? What is the point of those school even playing football if you can't even get in the top 8 when you when 24 games in a row and knock of what was a national power in Auburn?
  16. I wonder how many of the Georgia 1st round draft picks will be sitting this game out.
  17. See my post up top. Don't be surprised when the haters get what they want.
  18. I think having the 4 team playoff is fixing some of that. Schools are realizing that you can play big matchups early without fear of losing one and not getting in. Schedules are made so far in advance, it hasn't been able to be noticed. Texas and Alabama just locking in for like 2022 or 2024 or something like that. It is changing.
  19. I didn't say anything. Those are your words. So he has "done a good job" or "coaching stinks"..It's that simple.
  20. Alabama opened with FLORIDA STATE, who have spent the better half of this decade at the top of the rankings. It's not Bama's fault they couldn't play.
  21. Say there were some craziness in the last week, like there is so often. Pitt beats Clemson and Northwestern beat Ohio State. 1.Alabama (SEC) vs Pitt (ACC) 2.Notre Dame (At-Large) vs Northwestern 3.Oklahoma (Big 12) vs Washington (PAC 12) 4. Clemson (At Large) vs Georgia (At Large) This scenario doesn't look near as enticing as the other. 3 out of 8 teams have 0 chance of running through and pulling off 3 upsets in a row. Maybe in basketball, not football.
