  1. What? He didn't do anything worth pulling on offer. That is some crap.
  2. Not from Beaumont and have no dog in the fight, but that's pretty lofty for their situation.
  3. I haven't seen them, but you are pretty sharp. I'll take your word on that lol.
  4. Boston his .233 as a team during the series. Mookie- .217 Pearce .214 Bendy .208 JBJ .200 Nunez .200 Kinsler .182 Vasquez .152 Holt .111 This may sound weird, but Boston didn't have that great of an offensive series. Timely HR's, yes, but their best two hitters basically did nothing. Boston can be much better offensively than they were this series.
  5. They are probably the safest bet, but their injury situation is brutal. Losing the QB hurt them, along with others.
  6. The bats weren't great, but I was surprised at how well Boston hit Houston's pitchers. They beat Cole, beat Verlander, rocked Osuna in Game 3. Houston had a historically great season from a pitching perspective, and Boston got to all of them.
  7. Dang, that sucks. Well, either way, I am hoping for a quick recovery for CISD. As much as I can't stand some of them, no school (especially kids and staff), deserve what Crosby is going through.
  8. Is the Varsity Basketball coach that got let go?
  9. Gotta admit I was wrong. I didn't see the series going the way it did. Didn't imagine Houston dropping 4 in a row, especially 3 in a row at home.
  10. How is Osuna pitching the 7th and 8th? I thought he could only pitch if it was a save opportunity.
  11. Gonzales HR 4-1 Boston B7 Eovaldi coming in for Barnes.
  12. We must not be on the same page on what CORE classes are. CORE is Math, English, Science, and History. I know very few head baseball coaches that teach Math, Science, or English. Same for basketball coaches. History on the other hand, is a coaches best friend.
  13. Anybody can start a Crosby Santa Fe thread. Usually someone from that school does that. Help yourself.
  14. Yup, many many coaches teach History. That is everywhere. History is also the red-headed step child of the CORE Subject family tree, some argue for that reason. There is legislation in the last couple years to do away with the State Test (STAAR) for History.
  15. My point was, someone made the comment of their Head Baseball coach teaching a CORE subject. I just said that is rare because most OCs/DCs and Head Coaches do not teach a CORE (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) class. History maybe, but that is on the verge of non-Core class anyway. It is extremely rare for OC/DC, Head Coach to teach Math, Science, or English.
