  1. I don't think anything has started recently. In almost every single case (not all, of course), police shootings begin with someone not following orders, resisting, being aggresive, or down right attacking officers. There are less than .01% of police shootings made in cold blood. To make it sound like police officers are actively shooting innocent African American is false. There is a much bigger problem with 12% of the population committing 50% of murders and burglaries. Colin is "calling attention" to a fake problem. At the very least he is calling attention to a much smaller issue than 12% of our people committing 50% of our major crimes.
  2. The whole "police brutality" is a farce. The fact is police killings that are totally unjustified are very, very minimal. What should be much more alarming, especially for the black community, is their crime rate for murder and burglary are through the roof. There is zero accountability for that. Colin needs to be in those communities educating, promoting values, helping people get off the streets and out of criminal behavior. Instead, he is blaming police officers. 12% of the population commits over 50% of murders and burglaries. Where is the accountability for actions?
  3. The end is near, very near, within a few hundred....maybe a thousand years.
  4. Blacks make up 12% of the population but commit over 52% of our countries murders and 54% of the burglaries . Do you see a problem with that?
  5. I remember going over to my grandfathers house around the time of the 2000. I noticed he had a piece of tape on the back of the remote controller with two or three names on it. I asked him why "George Clooney" (and others), were written on his remote. Ultimately his answer was they are liberals and he won't watch their show. By the end of the election period, that list grew to 20 some odd actors he refused to watch. Point, Paw Paw missed out on O Brother Where Art Thou, and Clooney still got rich as hell. Nike isn't about to go bankrupt. And I own too much Nike stuff to throw out. I do not believe what Kaepernick is doing is right. I do not believe there is a "police brutality" issue in this country. I ain't going out of my to buy some Nikes or any apparel, but I am not avoiding it either.
  6. It is all good. Aggie could win, it is not out of the realm for the better team to lose. Happens in sports all the time.
  7. Don't know if Middle School has started, but CO Wilson or Nederland Central will be playing on it as well. Typically 4 middle school games on it on Tuesday.
  8. The Aggies have only beaten once (2012) and it was in Tuscaloosa.
  9. Aggie, coming off a formal walk-through last week, hosts #2 Clemson. I think if Aggie plays well, they lose by 14. If they play average to below average, they lose by 30. However, if they play their absolute best game possible, they win by 1 on a Clemson missed FG.
  10. The SEC is so good this year. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia are at the top, but I think South Cariolina, LSU, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss can make some noise as well.
  11. Unbelievable to come out and lose to Maryland in back to back seasons. There is no excuse. It is absolutely embarrassing. One loss doesn't define the season. I think they have a reasonable shot at competing for the Big 12 Championship, but my Lord. How can that program be so unprepared for a game. It is an absolute joke. No wonder Aggie pumps their chest so hard at UT. UT does nothing to back up the hype. Granted, Aggie doesn't do anything worth boasting about, but it happens because UT can't freaking beat Maryland. I don't blame Aggie for boasting about being average, because UT is not even average, and I am a UT fan. It is disgracefull, they better figure it out.
  12. Couple of takeaways from Week 1. The Good 1. Alabama probably will waltz to another title, pending injuries 2. LSU looks like they are back. Finally got a decent QB, and man that D is loaded. 3. The SEC is without a doubt the best conference in football this year. 4. Oklahoma wins the Big 12 and probably is in the Final Four again. The Bad 1. My Lord, Miami looked awful. Don't understand.... 2. Texas broke the hearts of longhorn nation...again. It is reasonable for them to get hot and beat USC and make a run in the BIG 12, but this is dragging on. 3. Jim Harbaugh has got to be the most overrated coach in college football.(Soon to be Tom Herman if he don't get his crap together). What has Michigan done other than travel around and try to be the cool guys. When will Harbaugh start getting local and national flack? 4. Northwestern St, losing in upset fashion to Aggie.
  13. Lumberton wins, and it more likely than not will not be close. LTrain -19.5
  14. 1. Nederland 2. Newton 3. Beaumont Kelly 4. Hull-Daisetta 5. West Brook 6. Dayton 7. Port Arthur Memorial 8. Port Neches-Groves 9. Manvel 10. Houston Heights 11. Barbers Hill 12 High Island 13. Liberty 14. Jasper 15. Lumberton 16. Orangefield/ 17. Diboll 18. East Chambers 19. Hamshire-Fannett 20. Edna 21. Buna 22. Hardin 23. Woodville 24. Evadale 25. West Sabine
  15. The Texans absolutely owned the Cowboys in their latest showdown. There seems to be a new king of the mountain. Told ya'll Dallas sucked.
  16. No reason to keep entertaining this. We will see what Aggie is about next week. Nothing else to really argue about.
  17. Yeah I figured he would be having a field day if he was playing with Freshman.
  18. Do you know which team the Anderson kid is playing on?
  19. Grambling State, Nichols State, Central Arkansas, South East Louisiana.....just a couple of schools who beat Northwestern State last year. Aggie got absolutely nothing out of that game. They would have been much better off playing Katy or North Shore. What an absolute joke. Cheers though 795 yards..
  20. Verlander falls to 13-9. Last 5 outings have not been good. Hope he figures it out before playoffs
