  1. Last night was a solid effort by Houston. I will not run from my opinion, even after the Rockets win last night. I never expected Houston to get swept. I thought, and still think it ends in 6. At the end of the day, Houston dropped home-court and got a split. That is a win for Golden State. Now, Houston has to steal one in Oakland. If they don't, I think they win Game 5 and get ended in Game 6. If they split the next two, it goes 7.
  2. Every great coach started somewhere. I'm sure there are many schools who passed on a rookie coach, and looking back could see it was a mistake.
  3. Back to the topic at hand. Boston weathered the early "LeBron Punches". They stayed true to who they are, and Brad Stevens continued to get it done. Cleveland is out of answers. LeBron had a triple double, Love had 20+, they shot nearly 50% from 3, and still lost by double digits. I didn't think it would happen, but the Celtics look like the better team that will win the series.
  4. Been saying it all year. Houston improved and had a great regular season. They still do not have enough to beat Golden State...no one does.
  5. Agreed. But let's not overthink this. They are better with Kyrie and Hayward. They may slip past Cleveland with the roster, but they have a very slim shot at Golden State or Houston without Kyrie.
  6. Everyone is on books through the 2019-2020 season, with the exception of Marcus Smart. If this team had Hayward and Irving, he might not get any playing time as it is. I like him, but he is expendable. After 2019-2020, hopefully the cap has moved enough to make it a little easier.
  7. I think they would have loved him.
  8. If they get by Cleveland, this year was their year also. They have no shot at beating Warriors/Rockets, but getting by LeBron, without their top two players would be huge.
  9. It is fairly simple for me (Celtics fan). This was the series that I anticipated when the season began. The circumstances are clearly different than what we expected. Boston probably does not have enough magic left at this point to beat LeBron James and Co. I can see this series going a hard 6, possibly 7, but I can't see a path for Celtics to win this series.
  10. This is a High School forum. "Minors" are talked about on this site everyday. What is your point?
  11. If the facts of this are accurate, which nobody not even those from Carthage are disputing, he videotaped girls getting naked in the shower and the distributed it to his friends and others. Surely you don't believe the "punishment" was sufficient.
  12. I think they have already given him what they wanted to give him. Which sounds like, was nothing.
  13. Bridge City has a very good baseball program. It has been good for a long time. Let's not over think it people.
  14. This is why there should not be split crews. Typically, a coin flip would decide which team gets the officials.
  15. So did the districts split? I didn't hear much on the Vidor/ KP series.
  16. Boston keeps doing it with their best 3 out. And can we stop with the 6ers bring elite yet?
  17. Could be wrong but I thought spring ball was only for 5A and 6A.
  18. Jasper is too much for this Silsbee team. Injuries haven't helped, but I would be surprised if this is longer than a 2 game set.
  19. When LeBron bolts Cleveland, my guess for Houston, Boston will win the East and as many years as they can afford to pay Irving, Hayward, Brown, and Tatum..Rozier. Hell, it don't matter if LeBron stays or not. He ain't beating a healthy Celtics team. My guess is he tries to find an already elite team to join. Houston being the only real logical option.
  20. I am with you. My point is, if they didn't have anything to charge him with he wouldn't have been given the pre-trial program. So the DA, felt like they had enough to charge him with a crime.
  21. I could be reading it wrong, but doesnt the fact that he got "pre-trial diversion" mean he got charged for something?
  22. At the end of the day, it really does matter who you are. If he wasn't the star QB and if Carthage didn't have a chance to win state it would have been different. But, coach and staff did what they had to do to get that ring.
