Once again, WOS tried scheduling Newton for several years and Newton declined. It is only when they think they can win they want the "competitive teams". Not how scheduling works.

Same song and dance we been hearing. They were suppose to be awesome last year because they were amazing on the JV. Again, Dayton should win a few games, but have a very small chance of getting in the playoffs.

If Cornel turned him down, it was out of spite. He shouldn't let W.T dictate when they play. Newton was too scared to play WOS when they weren't going to win, and now all of a sudden wants some when he thinks he can win. WOS doesn't need Newton. Newton needs WOS.

You can't sit around and turn down that game until you think you can win it. Those games should be played every year not just the year Newton is confident they should win.

WOS has the right to shoot down Newton. WOS has tried to get Newton several times over the years. It's no coincidence Newton finally wants a game with them. They wait until they are stacked to want that game. That is not how it works.

Dayton should win a few games, but they won't be a playoff team.

If the Warriors could get James and only have to give up Klay Thompson and Iguadala, they would do it right now... But I agree. He doesn't respect coaching and other players. He is a prick. But the Warriors would trade Klay for him today if they could.

From what I was told, it was grades. The student passed the "Semester", but failed the "3rd 6 weeks". The "3rd 6 weeks grade" must have been overlooked by all involved and because the "Semester" grade was passing, assumed all was good.

An eligibility report would have been ran shortly after the deadline, we can agree? If not the Coach could have printed it, we agree? IF the teacher had no submitted the grades when the report was ran, the failing grade would not have been there, agree? The Coach checks the list, girl's name is not there, and he moves on. If the cutoff was Friday, which I assume they are, Coach probably ran the report Friday, over the weekend, or Monday. That or he was given one. The girls name wouldn't be there because her grade that is failing is not submitted yet.... how is that on him?

Unless she was told of her final grade on Friday, or may even a few days before, do you really expect students to walk around knowing their average in every class. Over a 6 week period, there is not much of a difference between a 72 and a 68. Do you really expect her to know her final grade unless she was told by the teacher already? A teacher doesn't get her stuff in on time, costing the team 5 wins, and it is the parent of the players fault....

Grades shouldn't be able to be "submitted" late. What is in the teachers grade book at the deadline should be used. So an entire team has be punished because a teacher submitted her grades late? The administration on campus as well as that individual teacher should be punished for not doing their job, not the players. Why not take a snap shot of the grade book at the deadline rather than let a teacher click the submit button days after the deadline?

Those are some horrific numbers. Not to sound like a jerk, but don't you think there is bound to be a better hire available than what they currently have?
