I'm hearing Chireno will host Evadale in a playoff warm up game in Chireno on Friday February 12 at 6pm. Rematch from season opener. Should be good game for both teams.

chireno lost to Tenaha 53-50 in third place game. no excuses, just got outplayed by a very good team. didn't help that we missed 17 FT. Lapoynor took it to lipan in finals winning 62-52. Lapoynor guard and Lipan guard scored 27 each but other four lapoynor kids outplayed four lipan kids. Good chance you can see both teams in the same gym again in san Antonio this year. My opinion Lipan is in. Lapoynor has a tougher road. That region is fairly deep. Teams that could upset Lapoynor include Hubbard, Evadale, Cushing and Tenaha. Just one man's opinion

First semi final lapoynor 61 Tenaha 36. Lipan beat Chireno 82/56. Lainey Roberts from Lipan scored 59 points. That is not a misprint. 59 points. Had all 24 of teams points in third quarter. Championship game Lipan vs Lapoynor at 700. Third place game Chireno vs tenaha

Lapoynor has a sophomore guard that is as good as any guard in the state regardless of classification. Real special player. She will keep them relevant for the next two years for sure. Big time D1 prospect
