Both had Great Games this week! Has this ever happened before?

You don't take a 19 game winning streak into the #1 ranked 3A teams back yard and call it a warm up game, this game was hyped up as the game of the year, #4 in 4A against #1 in 3A, you could tell by the amount of scouts that where there, 12 guns aimed at every pitch, now that's pressure, both teams wanted to win this game as much as any playoff game. Womack keep them off balanced all night.

Powell also had a great game this week.

Take Interstate 10 West like your going to Houston, Take Exit 800 then turn right at the overpass, the School will be about a 1/2 mile on the right, turn in to the last entrance of the school and follow the road around to the back of the school and you will see the baseball field.

The road to Austin goes through Brenham this year.

PNG has the Pitching and Coaching to upset the Cubs, all they need is to keep the bats hot and no errors.

After reading all of your post from Saturday, Most being deleted, Bridge City must have really hurt your teams feelings.

Lamar is the only place it this area, that can hold the amount of people planning on attending this game, but it's not up to us, I'm sure Griff and his Bears would play Bridge City in a vacant lot with tote sacks for bases, he just wants to play against the best teams in the area to help prepare for Brenham.

It's should be the Most Valuable Player day in and day out, on a successful team. The player who's leadership lead them to succeed.

With that being said: Need to think about LCM's Womack. Team Leader and the kid is batting 650 thru District.

Womack's numbers against PNG and Nederland, It's going to be hard to beat that. Still has my vote.

Coach Griff must be grinning, having that much talent sitting on the bench, there starters must be remarkable. I guess that's why there 9-0. Must be nice to have that much talent on one team.

I've hear and read alot about Ayers from WOS but it's always been about pitchin, sounds like he's a Great Utility player too!

LCM's Landon Womack

This kid showed his skills against two major district teams this week.

PNG and Nederland

PNG: 3 for 4 at the plate with the go ahead 2 run HR. And showed why he was nominated on this site as all area 1st Baseman, I'm still shaking my head about some of the plays this kid made on defense.

Nederland: Starting Pitcher: Shutout Nederland for 4 1/3 innings with 7K's, came off the mound with a 4-0 lead and went 4 for 4 at the plate with 2 doubles.

You can bet Nederland will beat some good teams in the playoffs, Coach Robbins will have them ready.

From what I saw Nederland is going to be Very Good next year.

Great Game! Womack and Dugas Got the job done along with some Great Team hitting, I was impressed with how well LCM swung the bats.

Every team has one, the player that moves from position to position depending on who's pitching.

The best I've seen this year is LCM's Jerrod Dugas, his job includes Pitching, Outfielder, 3rd Base Man and during the first PNG game he was at 2nd Base, it dosen't matter what position he's playing, he gets the job done and when you need a key hit, he seems to be the one standing at the plate. This kid is fun to watch.

1st Team All District First Baseman 04-05

Best stretch in the area, Ball Magnet for a glove and a very hot bat.

Vidor and PNG should be knotted up for 3rd in district after this weeks play.

LCM: Wow, PNG and Nederland in the same week and a short week at that. They all have Great Pitching! I think LCM's pitching depth will show this week, there bats are hot and the defense, is the best I've seen this year. The cream will rise to the top. Great Games!

Jake Rowell-LCM

Good Arm, Wall in front of and behind the plate. Only Junior on the starting line-up, having to command a team full of Seniors.

Vote goes to Landon Womack LCM

Womack: Came in for 5 innings behind Ehlert and shut out Lumberton for a combo no-hitter, Best junk pitcher I've seen. Helping himself with a Walk Off Home Run to end the game under the 10 run rule.

Stats for week: .500 HR,DB and 5 Inning No-Hitter to Close out the game.
