The Huntington Football program has really struggled the last several years and that is putting it mildly. I maybe wrong however I think they own the State Record for the most consecutive losing seasons or something like that. I am not sure why they are so bad year in & year out. You would think being that close to Lufkin, that they would be in a Hot Bed of talent.

First I would like to thank Deweyville for inviting us to come play at their place, talk about a splendid facility and great fans. Yes HF looked really rusty but hey you have to give the Pirates credit they played a great game. I was impressed with their size, speed & conditioning as most of their guys go both ways with very little Subs they did not look gassed. Congrats to both teams and GoodLuck this week.

not trying to be rude here, but your pretty much sayin hf is gonna get smoked? how did you get that out of my statement, I was just the answering the question about who LaGrange was. And I will say it again LaGrange is no slouch, they have a very good program.

You know us HF people, we always try to avoid getting beat. LOL

Lagrange has very good program overthere, they have won & played in a few 3A State Championships. This game will be a very good game to help HF prepare for District. Hats off the Coach Mangan for finding a quality team like Lagrange to play in such short notice.

I am having trouble with HF scheduling a game when the school District can not give anyone a definitive answer as to when classes will resume. I know we need to get our guys back on the field but I think we need them back in the class rooms first.

So everyone knows, it has been confirmed the Game has been moved up to Thursday Night in Winne. They agreed to cancel the Jr High games to make this happen.

I have seen Lumberton first hand and I do not think Silsbee will match up with them. I think Silsbee has very young O Line and if that is indeed the case, Lumberton's D-Line will eat them up. I do not know If there is a team in this area that is capable of shutting down Lumberton's rushing attack. Lumberton takes this one: Raiders 42 Silsbee 21

I agree with your statement, however everyone must understand that we have to give these guys time to develop the program. I can promise this will not happen overnight, the fans should expect at least 2-3 years of being the door mat in the conference. Hopefully that will be enough of a learning curve and we should start to see a turn around. I for one will support them during their growing pains.

I was at the game and HF got man handled pure and simple by a school 3 X their size, so nobody should be surprised. HF had one good QTR and that was the 2nd. The 1st, 3rd & 4th qtrs were dominated by Lumberton. IMO with injuries and mistakes aside we would still get beat by Lumberton. HF might compete for a playoff spot in 21- 3A if they can get healthy and get something going offensively. Lumberton should do well in their district as they have a very good O-line, to compliment 3 Good RB's. Defensively they have very good D-Line to compliment a good LB Corp. The only weakness Lumberton has IMO, is their secondary. Good Luck to both teams this week.

HF Freshman I believe lost 25 to 14, however HF's JV came from behind to Win 12 to 11.

Can you say "CRAWFISH" it is spelled Hornsfan86. So you make statements about "poor morale", " restoring order" and "alot of injuries" but yet offer no facts or justification for your statements. I am only inquiring to where your information is coming from if your a fan. Which "KEY" players have quit? It sounds to me the place is about to shut down by your statements? If it is give us the scoop to the problems, if not you can't feel your supporting your schooll by making such accusations without facts. And I would guess 19 is younger than that in fact I would bet it is a player on the team. So why dont you tell us what is going on in Hamshire? Enlighten us to the what is wrong with HF? I am done with you, I can tell you thrive on this. No since in feeding it.

I really do not know who is injured, I was just repeating what a sportscaster for channel 6 had written after he visited an HF practice. As far as the player or players that quit I would like to plead the 5th on that one as I do not want to upset anyone. I think the reason they are unable to score is teams know we lack a passing game so they load the box and say beat us if you can. That coupled with breaking in a new QB would explain the lack of scoring. These are the only reasons I could come up with for what troubles HF. It was by no means intended to bash a team or individual, just stating the obvious. I do not know who "WHIZZED IN FISHERQUEENS COFFEE", but he had better lay off of me. I will still be around when he is long gone.

I would hope the UIL would have something to say about his eligibility if he is indeed guilty.
