Cade is the only returner that has been an all-District selection for 2 years. Freshmen and sophomore year, So there is validity to the post.

Pitch counts don't really solve the problem in High school. Especially when the coach puts him at short stop after one of you pitch count guru's say the kid is at their pitch limit. That's when you hurt the arm. Kids can throw 90-150 easy, then rest is needed, not pitching in 3 days and or playing a position. Its kind of a complicated management and every kid is different. Pitch count can be for dads to read about and make an excuse or complain about the coach over using. The Coach needs to do what is right and should know how to handle a kid. High school coaches have to look at what they select coaches do also when they are pitching the heck out of a kid to get their Select TEAM a name. It might help 20 percent of the kids and make awareness for coaches not to abuse kids so I will support it and abide by it.

All hires are always strange in some way. The thing is HJ got a good coach that knows the game. I have had some battles with him and his kids were always ready to play. -

I am sure their will be different sides to Coach Standley's departure which is understandable. He, his family wanted to stay 100 percent. No need to go into those details, lets just say he has been doing it for 20 years and he can see what an AD wants. If you want to get to the first bite of problems, look close at Coach Butter and how he was treated. He is an amazing Coach and the kids, teachers, community loved him. He wanted to stay and deserved way more than he got. That is the first step of a new AD's reign and more comes later. It is part of the crazy business and is sad. Woodville has amazing kids and the parents are passionate about sports. I can say Coach Standley landed on his feet but his heart will still love Woodville and miss each and every moment that he spent there. Brobie!!!!! You don't know anything about the situation other than he was on his phone!!! you are correct, he was ,He was texting the scores to all the haters that said that Woodville kids couldn't make the play-offs.

Lucky for these 2 schools not to have STAAR on Monday or it would be a coin flip with all the rain Sat. UIL handcuffed a lot of teams in warm-up games and seeding games with EOC.

I wasn't expecting a sweep. Congrats to Coach Williams and the Rebels

Woodville is 10-1-2 in games within 3 runs. They are 5-0 in 1 run games. its always exciting!

Love it. I remember my high school rivalry 12,000 people Sr. Year and 13,000 people Jr. Year during our football game, and we still talk about it. MCM is greatness.
