I hear Lamar has received a waiver from the NCAA and the SLC for an extended half-time to accommodate the planned ceremony.

Big game this week. LU will host HCU. The teams are tied in a 2-way for 2nd in conference with a 3-1 record. They have 3 common opponents. Both have a victory over Nichols. LU soundly beat them and HCU has a somewhat tight game with a 16-2 victory. They have also played UIW and SELA. All games were close with each picking up a win and suffering a loss to opposite squads. LU's victory was over UIW and HCU opened conference and the season with a road victory over Southeastern. Lamar will be in good position for a post-season birth with a victory, but a loss could be a major barrier with SFA still to play. The conference is vastly improved from just a few years ago and there are very few sure victories as well. Plan to attend this week.

No clue who wins this one. Going to say they meet again the Friday after Thanksgiving. Hope I'm right on this prediction.

Was concerned HF might look a little "flat" and they did. Wasn't horrible by any means but a bit lack luster. Hard for teenagers to play inspired football after last week. You would hope for an angry squad trying to regroup, but HF was a massive favorite and again it's teenagers. HJ is not the HJ I coached against 10 plus years. With 4 teams making the playoffs from every district they could very well be the best team in the state that doesn't make the playoffs. Not much consolation to the players and coaches, but that's a decent football squad.

Chandler Rome is claiming the new GM will be allowed to hire the next manager. Not sure what to think about Espada. The ingredients to cook with the last few years definitely didn't match the better rosters over the past decade or so. Some of the ingredients are outdated and some new additions were/are off brand items at name brand prices.

North Dakota and Montana lost today. Both are ranked above LU. Also #2 Tarleton is up by 19 on #8 Austin Peay in the 3rd. Not sure what this will or will not do for LU, but fun to follow. If a team is seeded in the top 16 they are guaranteed a home playoff game. So, the higher in the polls the better. Still early and have a tough few weeks ahead.

HF fans hollering at the WOS coaches in the box was a bad look and extremely uncalled for behavior. Anyone that wants to defend, feel free. However, they (coaches) had done nothing wrong. The coaches handled it extremely well and I commend them.
