If he truly has a valid certificate why would he resign? It doesn't seem that it would to be difficult to prove you went through an appopriate route to gain certification. Been out of the profession for over 10 years, and I don't recall this being very common though not unheard of other than they payment crud that went on in the massive school districts (Houston DFW, etc)a few years back. Has this become prevalent where people are filing such complaints and are most proven to be false allegations? What is this current process you mention?

I live near I10 in Fannett. Simply driving from my house about 10 miles max to the west side of Beaumont was vastly different in terms of damage and lost electricity. Making any type of agreement with a broadcaster has to be unsettling even after signed. So much technology and other factors causing things to come and go so quick over the past few years. Glad to not be in the position of those folks at the UIL. They will likely get ripped by people for making the deal, but as much as we all love Texas high school sports from a broadcast perspective it can't be a massive money maker. Finding a great and stable provider is likely extremely difficult. Who knows...

Thanks for the updates. Fairly big opening weekend in the SLC. LU with a big win to open the season against a ranked opponent. Also, HCU traveled to SELA and beat a conference favorite. HCU's higest ranked oponent they have ever beaten. 7500 in the August heat! Nice opening night attendance in today's world.

Everyone one throws around the word discipline when discussing teams. I will change it for just a moment and call it well behaved. Having seen HF play in person only about 3 times in the past 10 years, however I did not like "they way the carried themselves." This may very well be the best behaved group I have witnessed. A huge unsportsman like cost La Marque big time on a possible scoring drive and HF never appeared to do anything that could cost them throughout the night. Late in the game there was an extremely minor push after a play and an HF player immediately was forcing his teammate to the sideline to keep his team from being hit with unsportman like as well. Hoping this is not a 1 time thing and they stay away from some of the foolishness of the past. Whether coaching emphasized or just an overall decent group of kids that was my personal highlight from last night's game. Now, someone may come on here and defend some past teams actions and that's fine, just giving an opinion.

Sadly that is likely not the case. Cleveland, for starters, would likely finish out of a playoff spot in a majority of 3A districts. Also, the lower performers in Fort Bend. They were absolutely dominated in games against EL Campo and Livingston in non-district both of whom were not remotely close to the top tier of 4A who we know the better 3A would compete well against. There are some horrible inner city 6A teams. Some suit up less than 30 on varsity squads despite the school attendance numbers. These schools are reference are not the norm, but they do exist.

W in the Bronx. If Espada is really out after the season, he is still auditioning for future managerial positions. He won't quit on players that pushed for him to get the job a few years ago. May question his decisions, but he's a baseball guy. He cares.

Will likely never bern done, but all it would take is the removal of a scrimmage or the regular season being 10 instead of 11 weeks. The only other concern would be stadiums, but higher seed playing at hime round 1 fixes that issue. Like the thought. May be difficult to find a "TV" broadcaster for the small school weekend.
