SELA wins in 11. Both teams homered in the 11th but SELA had a 2 run shot and McNeese had a solo. Both brackets will reach the full allotment of games.

McNeese just tied it up 11-11 in the bottom of 8th. McNeese is home team.

Lu keeps playing. 4-2 in a very well played ball game. LU hit the ball well including some line drives that were hard outs. Winner take all for the Beaumont bracket at 1 tomorrow.

LU takes the elimination game 8-0. Will face SFA at 6:05. Get your butts to the Beck. HCU eliminated by SELA. LU fans are now McNeese fans.

SFA defeats Northwestern, 6-4. LU vs Northwrstern at 1 tomorrow. McNeese goes nuts at the plate beating host SELA, 15-9. SELA vs HCU at 1 in Hammond. SFA and McNeese each need 1 win and can still afford a loss. See you all at the Beck for what I hope is 2 games tomorrow.

Believe this will be HF's first appearance in a regional finals since 1975.

HCU walks off Nicholls with a homer after having the exact same thing happen against them last night. UTRGV and Nicholls are the first teams eliminated. Lamar and HCU survive and advance. Night games (Northwestern vs. SFA and SELA vs. McNeese) start at 6 with the winners needing only 1 more victory. The losing teams in tonight's games will need to win 3 in a row just like Lamar and HCU. Hope to see good crowds for what is hopefully 2 games for the Birds tomorrow. Could be wrong, but like my favorite complainer, UTRGV and SFA worry me most. UTRGV is now out so hoping Northwestern can win tonight, thus leaving Lamar needing only 1 win over SFA instead of 2. Despite Northwestern having good pitching, the wind constantly blowing in at the Beck has me thinking you want them to be the team you have to beat twice as the do not swing the sticks well at all. Lamar bats have been suspect all season, but they are capable.

Birds stay alive with a 3-2 win. Make it 5 post season wins.

LU has a record of 4-13 in post season play under Davis. I believe I calculated that correctly.

Every higher seed except SELA falls tonight. LU shutout by SFA. Play UTRGV at 1.

Northwestern State wins the opening game of the tournament over UTRGV, 6-5. UTRGV is likely the team that Lamar wanted to immediately pick up a loss. SFA and Lamar will play in a little less than 1 and 1/2 hours. McNeese beat Nicholls by a final of 11-3 in Hammond. The Christians play the Lions in the night cap in that bracket.
