The demographics of Winnie have definitely changed more than other small town in the area. If kids that play only soccer or sports other than football and basketball are ever allowed in the athletic period, the days of the football program being solid will decline quite rapidly. The possible decline may be happening regardless. Hate it for some of the people I know there, but the demographics are shifting and interest area in sport(s) may follow. The athletic period issue...well its a great way to keep kids playing football that otherwise may not wish to do so...ethical...you be the judge.

Week 5. LU @ HCU. NICH @ McNEESE. Southeastern, A&M Commerce, and Northwestern State play non-conference opponents (all FCS level). Incarnate Word is off. SLC is a combined 5 and 22 against non-conference opponents.

Got ya on one. I know you likely know this, but if HCU put the student body opposite the pressbox....well they would get to roam the sideline with the other team. 😀 For those of you not aware, HCU only has seating on one side of the stadium. This is not the norm of course, but not totally unheard of.

Nichols will fall to Tulane. UIW demolishes North American University of Stafford Texas. Lamar hammering Lincoln U. My Huskies get a big win to start conference play at SELA, the preseason conference favorite. LU vs HCU next week at CVS stadium in Sharpstown.

McNeese loses 31-28 after having a 28-7 lead in 1st half. TAMC fails on 2pt conversion and falls to Old Dominion 10-9. TAMC was a massive underdog. All other games just started at 6. LU and UIW already up in games they should win. In an early surprise HCU up 17-6 early on SELA in the only in-conference game.

6 O'clock home game. Lincoln is a newer program and playing only road games. I believe the are D2 program but the schedule is loaded with FCS schools. Universities athletic website is bad.

Not sure if a Kirbyville win is a shock, but the point spread likely is.
