  1. KF89 posted this another thread in which the topic came up. Giving credit to the one who alerted us to this information. [Hidden Content]
  2. BigRed5 has nothing posted in that thread about the search to my knowledge. I'm curious as well if he/she has some knowledge of the situation and it happens to appear in this thread. Wish he/she had posted it there, but.....
  3. Didn't know about the allotment. I purchased on site that day so you very well may be right about the Stephenville total.
  4. Just out of curiosity, what portion of that do you think were on the PNG side of the Dome? It appeared to be around a 3 or 4 to 1 ratio between the 2 sides. Would have made an interesting aerial shot if there wasn't a roof.
  5. The constant arguing amingst players after mistakes, throwing of a helmet on the sidelines, 2 coaches arguing, etc...was not good. As a setx resident with no connection to either school I will state this as I told my buddy during the game, I came here wanting Silsbee to win and the longer this game goes the less I have a vested interest. Although improved under the "new" regime, until that mess stops Silsbee will continue to do less with more than anyone in Setx. The kids deserve better, including being disciplined.
  6. I know you thought he may wait for a "better" place, however if he has a few good seasons he can still move on again. Who knows where it will all end for him. Very interesting and entertaining if nothing else.
  7. There were 8 seconds left. Would love to know what they play call was. Assume 1 shot not #1 and then kick it. The holder did an excellent job of giving the kicker a chance. The snap was was on his right and he had to bring around and get it down quickly.
  8. Can someone explain Silsbee's coverage when they kick deep? They appear to cover about 20 yards down field and stop running, then simply absorb blocks. If I was seeing that correctly, it sure is an odd scheme and very easy to find a seam for a ball carrier. If I'm wrong on what I perceived feel free to tell me so.
  9. Who knows. One thought for lifestyle. Football, football, football and more football from August to January. What free time you have as a college head coach would be a few winter months and spring then early summer in Boulder. That may be hard to beat. Just a small thing in the overall picture, but has to be appealing.
  10. One last thought. Could take the risk of traveling to Austin and put up a Houston site against it. Then you sweat out a "coin flip."
  11. Twenty, yes 2 decades ago, they was a great place. Whatever happened for it to fall so far?
  12. Kyle Field is actually not that bad when searching for a central site. Only about 6o more miles for PNG. Thought it would have been further. That very well could be the site.
  13. You may be right. Could be looking at a "coin flip." It is interesting how some coaches are so determined to make sure the drive for each time is as close to the same distance as possible though.
  14. Will Liberty Hill agree to somewhere in Houston is the issue with getting a larger stadium. Rice, UH, and NRG are the ones "you" would want, but.....
  15. Prarie View a possibility for a site? 15,000 seats and about as central a site as possible.
  16. Correct. Made the name change a few months back. Faith based interview will be part of hiring process. When I posted HCU???? What I meant was could HCU be a possible spot for him. The McNair family has close ties to the university. Might that play a role after last year's Texans speculation? Massive difference in levels of course understood.
  17. Interesting, did not know that information. HCU???
  18. NRG's lower bowl holds 26,000. Thus, 13,000 for half the bowl. With that knowledge, does anyone know or have the ability to give an approximate number of the PNG fan total last week?
  19. Thanks for the stats AAW and GMGKSA. In Silsbee, you have a RB averaging just over a first down per carry and a WR averaging 23.6 per catch. That is quite impressive. Some of the other players mentioned above are high quality as well. Interesting to look back and see how close some district games were for Silsbee. For those of you that watched games by the top teams in district 9, consider yourself entertained. A team with stats like this normally demolishes a district. Good luck young men from Silsbee and enjoy the ride fans.
